The withdraw was last Sunday. So, nothing since Sunday night. He was online until 3am, and we don't know if he left at this time or if he slept and then left monday morning. He usually gets bus #4 to go to school. If anybody got this bus on monday morning (Feb 6th), please look carefully to his picture (add a beard) and try to remember if he was there. Thanks everybody.

I was thinking that a good way to spread Victor's disappearance is to spread the flayer with his information by email. I would appreciate if you could get it on my photo gallery and send to your contacts, even those that are not in Raleigh. His last trip with his fiance was to Washington D.C., so there is a chance he went there. Please, spread the word.

I told him he should leave those, but he didn't respond and just continued about his business... just thought i'd let you all know. Police detectives, in my experience, are surprisingly inept and unmotivated.(CSI shit just doesn't happen) The comment "no foul play suspected" indicates they haven't done anything nor care to do so.

They assume, like many people, that this kid just took a vacation. If you have reasons to suspect otherwise, you need to constantly call them and tell them. Try to annoy the hell out of the detective.

I checked the woods behind/around Westgrove/Blueridge/Ligon St during my run today. Didn't see/smell anything, just a bunch of bum trash. Of course that's a huge area of thick brush and hardly a complete search, I just ran out of daylight.

I saw him about 2 weeks ago. He was happy and friendly. Didn't complain too much about his course load. Me and a friend of mine returned his calculated that we had borrowed.

I hope he gets found. He's a great guy. Super salesman! He helped the Underwater Robotics Club sell doughnuts last semester and did an awesome job. He just kept bringing folks over. I'll be praying for him, yo.

bands who are flyering tend to do this, apparently, to get noticed among the clutter. i once accused TheBrewery of doing this to some flyers an organization I'm in put up, but he said its all the band's doings.

Damn that don't sound good for him. Hate to sound morbid, but if he ain't been in touch with anybody, he hasn't spent any money, didn't have a whole lot on him to begin with, then he's either been kidnapped or something beyond his control, or he's been killed or committed suicide.

I'm not trying to be an ass or poke fun, or anything like that. I'm being serious. I think we should all pray for his safe return and hope for the best, but this shit doesn't sound very hopeful at this point with the details we have been given on here so far.

Wait about it, maybe we're looking at it in the wrong way. Assume he disappeared for a while and didn't want to be followed tracked. It's a fact that $200 is not a lot of money. But, what about previous withdrawals, maybe he spaced it out over time. What about other lines of credit, has anyone run a full credit check to make sure there are no other sources of cash that he has at his disposal, or any possible alliances that he would have credit under? Also does he have a job, and is it something that pays a lot of cash (serving for instance), and when was his last paycheck. Just a couple of "green hat" ideas that I could come up with.

My best advice is if he did this on purpose, think about how you would disappear. Hell, see if he rented last season's 24 at Blockbuster, you never know.

Your guys represent exactly the main hypothesis, the first (Nighthawk) the bad one, the second (RattlerRyan) being the good one. All his friends and family believes on the second, because he was such a great guy, great friend, and nobody believes he would hurt himself (he didn't have a fight with his fiancee or family, for instance). RattlerRyan, thanks for the advice. I'll ask the detective to double check to make sure he didn't have another bank account.

If I wanted to LEAVE raleigh, with $200 I could go visit someone (friend or relative) with a taxi. I would suggest you take all these flyers with his pictures and go to EACH and EVERY taxi company in the area and ask if anyone made a long distance trip, and have all the employees look at this guy's pic. Taxi drivers see a lot, even if it is just a guy walking on the grass off of 40.

Rattler made a good point earlier ... there is a BIG assumption $200 was the maximum in cash. I myself have like 10 accounts/lines of credit and could nab a couple hundred from each fairly easily.

I'm not sure why he would leave without his wallet/ID.

Does anyone know if he ran daily, and where? That's pretty much the only time I leave my wallet behind, and even then I carry my drivers licence in case I'm hit by a car.

Suicide seems a bit odd to me in this case. I imagine it would be difficult for a non-citizen to get a handgun.(a longgun could be purchased from an individual pretty easily, but that would have stood out in an apartment building). So that leaves jumping off a building, helium inhalation, and slitting your wrists. He would be found quickly(witness, the smell, etc) if he jumped from a building anywhere on campus. Any other form of suicide would likely take place right in his apartment, not out in the woods somewhere. So that all just doesn't fit.

Similarly, if he was mugged walking out to his car or something, his body would have turned up by now. No bum would attack someone and then bother to take the body with them.

A drug deal gone bad is another possibility, which would explain why he purposely left his ID behind, but he doesn't sound like that type of person.

So, assuming he left on his own with nothing but maybe a wad of cash, he did so by bus or cab. That's still your best case scenario.

Does he use AIM or MSN or Yahoo messenger? If so you may want to contact them and check the last time he logged in. Also, I have heard that AIM stores your conversations somewhere for a period of time so this could be a big help. Who he talked to right before he left is a big deal so checking his AIM, cell phone records, apartment phone records, could give an idea of who he talked 2 last.

Checking with the taxi companies is a really good idea. Does anyone know someone who works at the airport? I'm assuming there would be some main employee entrance (I'm guessing they have to go through security too). Maybe a sign could be posted there. Workers would probably remember someone who paid cash.

Is he the type of person who would just take off though? It's tough not knowing if he left or something bad happened. Have little things been looked at in his apartment, like missing clothes, toothbrush, deoderant, etc? Maybe looking for signs that he planned or didn't plan on coming home that day (maybe laundry in the washer/dryer, new groceries, future TV shows DVRed/taped). Did the police talk to his neighbors? (I would assume yes, but maybe not if they just think he took off.)

I work in Poe and I saw the sign by the elevator when I came in. If it comes down, I'll put a new one up.

I don't know the guy personally, but ever since sunday when they came to search Lake Johnson I am worried and scared for him. Even someone who doesn't know him can help out in the search. I hope he is found and for anyone who knew him, I am sorry you are dealing with all of it. I wish the best for him and everyone else. I hope people keep tww updated about his status. It is weird how someone you don't know can have such an impact on your life.
