good, whether or not it can be heard 1 million times elsewhere is irrelevant. they were in a classroom, not in the bedroom watching 106 & Park or the Wayans brothers. whether the teacher was black or white, male or female doesn't matter. though indefinitely is a bit harsh.

Im not saying that it does matter as far as his suspension because it was completely inappropriate, but he just doesn't get to say it ESPECIALLY in this environment.

a teacher at my highschool jokingly said that only Bump could use one of the two doors into the room. Bump was the only black guy in the class. He didn't think before he said it. He wasn't even thinking about it in that context, probably the same way this teacher wasn't thinking about it when he was trying to seem cool to the honors math kids. We all thought it was funny, especially Bump. Then again, we weren't snivelling bitches, so I guess it isn't a fair comparison.

Teacher should have refrained for one reason: to get the KID IN TROUBLE for calling a teacher "nigga".

I would bet my life the kid said it first. No white male that old, in a professional setting, that doesn't have mental issues, would just say the word "nigga". He knows he said it.

Take the racial element out and analyize it like this -

Suppose the female students called each other bitches. Would it be appropriate for the teacher to say, "sit down, bitch"

Or what if the teacher said, "sit down mutherfucker"

None of these would be appropriate.
