Who cares? They are always #1. I can't believe relying on JJs legs they'll win it all this year.. it's like a repeat of the last 3 years..
Did you read the espn.com thing comparing this years UConn to last years UNC?? Even called this loss..
[Edited on February 13, 2006 at 9:25 PM. Reason : FWIW I actually was rooting for UNC after State went out last year... I like Roy (trolling start)] 2/13/2006 9:25:22 PM |

jp,
After Bilas interviewed Wright, he was mingling in the crowd with some co-eds. Not sure if they were 'Nova students, his daughters or what, but some people say they saw him kiss them. I only saw him hugging them.
How fitting is it, though, that the game was sealed with a 'Nova player stealing it from Marcus Williams.

Back to this. If Coach K was smart, which he is, he should be resting JJ a bit more right now. It's pretty damn apparent he is tired as shit and his legs are fading. It seems to me that it's going to be the same old story for the JJ/Shelden Devils. If JJ is tired and Shelden goes up against a good front line, Duke is going down... and early.

we beat this same UCONN team last year, except we don't have hodge and they don't have villanueva.
we could beat them again, but 'nova would probably run us flat out of the gym. 2/26/2006 2:34:48 PM |

Hodge was better in pretty much everything but blocks and rebounds, only .2 rebounds though... 2/26/2006 2:35:41 PM |

What Nova did to him early will ALWAYS put him off his game. Anytime he gets elbowed or swatted at (or generally physically pushed around) early he gets timid it seems.
If not, then he'll rip a team to pieces.. If we play them again in the NCAAs it would be wise to throw McCauley in there early just to bump him around a bit (so Ced doesn't waste fouls)..

Up until this past weekend I thought we were a much better team then last year but I'm not so sure right now. We are certainly less reliant on one player. UConn is MUCH different. Armstrong was NOTHING last year, Anderson (the best offensive player on the team) was two weeks removed from being on his death bed, and Gay is a far different player.
