I think an RPI of 3 is why people think Tennessee is overrated, they are not the 3rd best team in the country

RPI isnt a subjective thing, its an objective system used by the NCAA to develop the list of 64 (65). Its not a "media" thing where people are voting on it or anything and it doesnt mean that the team is the 3rd best in the country. It is just an index that goes into ranking teams in the tourny.

Do I think they are the 3rd best team in the country? No, of course not. But I dont see beating 2 of the top 6 teams and being ranked 8-10 as being overrated

Cam is the man. I still believe he is NBA material.

Im not too much of a homer and I will say that UT is underrated.

Why in the fuck does Cam get the blame for the backboard shot vs. Miami?

There are two people you can blame for that shot and Cam isn't one of them.

You can either blame Herb for calling the timeout with 6-7 seconds left(and nullifying Hodge's layup attempt)

OR

You can blame Evtimov for driving out of control down the lane with time expiring and then throwing a last ditch effort pass to Cam.

How the fuck is that play Cams fault? Its not like he hogged the ball then set up for a decent attempt.

What was he supposed to do, pull a Gavin Grant and just not shoot the ball?

Give me a break.

It was a 3 pointer, and shot when he had more time to create for himself, and all we needed was 2 for the win. Thats what was so bad about it.

But Cam is the man...he's really having a good season. I thought he should have been this good all along, but at least he's showing it now....better than never.

^ bad memory I guess.

Cam was just standing there and giving the team space.

Evtimov is the one who leaped into the air with nowhere to go with the basketball and heaved it to Cam.

There was 1 second left on the clock when he caught the basketball.

In no way, shape, or form was that even 1% Bennerman's fault.

Also, Bennerman carried us in the ACC tournament his freshman and junior year. Everyone was wrongfully down on him just because he was injured his sophomore year and struggled that season.

Maybe I should bttt the thread again where people stated Atsur & Evtimov had more NBA potential than Bennerman.

I thought there were about 3 seconds left...or at least 2 cause I was hoping we could tip it if he missed, but maybe I'm wrong. If he caught it with 1 second, you're right...no blame on Cam.

I am pleased with the way Cam has stepped up this year. He has emerged as the team leader IMO and out of everyone i would want the ball in his hands in crunch time.

Bethel would get a nod too...but he dissapears sometimes.

Regardless, Cam has more NBA potential than anyone on the squad and more than Julius Hodge as well. I hope he does well. I'm going to go on the record to say that he will have a long and successful NBA career.

fells has scored 5 points against ACC opponents and already you're proclaiming him NBA material?

I'm not saying he won't improve, but seriously get a grip.

Bennerman is awesome. Anyone who disagrees might as well be a Carolina fan.

Because either way you're dead to 99% of NC State fans.

Sometimes he does, yeah, but he's still really the only guy we have who creates off the dribble. Who else on the team has faked forward to create space from a defender for a 3? Hell, who else has even consistently hit shots by coming around a screen?

I'm a huge Bennerman fan. He really stepped up when Scooter got injured, I'm glad he was able to put out like that again this year. He's a solid player all around, we are really going to miss him next year.

bennerman's attitude seems to have improved a lot this year over previous ones. perhaps that's why he's playing more and doing better, either that or his attitude is better because of his improved performance and additional pt. chicken and the egg sort of thing maybe.

Aside from his incredible jumping ability, he reminds me of Grundy more than anyone else the way he always finds a way to get a decent shot off.

Cam is carrying us.

Just like he did in the '03 & '05 ACC tournies and the '05 NCAA tourney.

He's clutch.

Cam,

last year I said I didn't think you had the talent to be this years "Julius Hodge". I knew you could be a player and had the raw potential, but I guess you just never had the chance to show it. You have literally carried this team, and without you we'd have a much harder time winning the amount of games that we have. You rock

Love,

Packbacker
