So are Dinan's with just the basics not Dinan's hard core kits (like the 55 is for AMG), even with the Dinan badge on the back?

Should've got the IS350. I've had one since November. I traded in my IS300 for the upgrade. It was well worth it. Now my car has more torque than you have Hp.

Thats not really an apples to apples comparison. Dinan is an aftermarket company that modifies BMWs. AMG is in house for Mercedes.

I'd say its more comparable to, say, a BMW 535i with an Msports package.

I think I just am having a little bit of trouble with what distinction you are trying to make.

Because the cosmetic packages are certainly from AMG. So it might sound a little clunky to say SL 500 AMG, an enthusiast will know that this is just the standard 500 with the AMG cosmetics.

the AMG sport packages are called the SPORT package. Not AMG package. Sure you get wheels that say AMG on them, but thats it.

that does not make it an AMG model. Some dumbfuck used car salesman might advertise it as such, but that doesn't mean anything. Car salesmen on average know less than dirt about the cars they try to sell.
