I am sending a "Fuck You" out to all the 'players' who left before the clock read 00:00. For those of you not there, for the last minute there seemed to be more caring in the crowd than on the court. Granted the students showed alot of support, but where i was sitting our basketball team sucked it up.

I usually stay until the end, but fuck that. If you're not going to show up to play, I see no reason to show up to cheer. The last time I was a "good fan" and stayed until the end of a complete abortion of an NC State sporting event I was treated to the Mexicam.

Without the fans, there would be no basketball program. I'd walk out on that shit if I had paid good money to see it too.

They dont have to play for the fans, but if they're not going to, then the fans can sure as hell let them know when their team is shit. Last night, their team was shit.



I dont understand how optimism can still radiate from you idiots when the biggest accomplishment for our basketball program in the last 20 years is a trip to the sweet 16 after a horrible regular season. There comes a point when you have to stop accepting horse shit. This isnt a fire herb rant, its a stop bitching about our fans sucking when our team gave them NOTHING to cheer about.

When we cut it to 9 in the second half and the entire student section was going crazy, my ears began to hurt. I was up toward the top of Sec. 112, and it looked amazing, b/c you have one of the best views of the entire arena. seeing the entire student section jumping up and down reminded me of that famous VT entrance video before their 2004 game against Maryland when they show the end zone section full of students. also it reminded me of that one Wisconsin opening video on NCAA 2006. It looked awesome.

^you speak the truth. i'm optimistic, but last night our team looked like total ass. the only glowing point is that we only turned the ball over 8 times. too bad our defense sucked so bad that we only forced 5 turnovers on the team ranked dead last in the ACC in turnover margin.

Every student in that stadium wanted us to win so fucking bad.

It wasnt just a good crowd that was there to watch a good game.

It was a great crowd that wanted to see our team get over the hump and win a huge game.

I've never seen a place so electric in my life. My head hurt from the noise.





Its sad to have such great fan support for a team who didnt give a shit.

dead serious, that's the craziest atmosphere I've ever been in

not to mention I think 99% of the student sections were FILLED with 5 minutes left before the game began

Even though we lost, the atmosphere will live a long time in my memory...it was my last home game as a student, so I made sure to take it all in...dag, sad stuff

I got to my seat with about 20 minutes on the clock before game time and the lower levels were already packed....and when I went down the steps, they started the "WOLF...PACK" chant and it was already loud as fuck.

Haha, call me a bad fan all you want. I've missed maybe 3-5 home games in the last 15 years. I have season tickets. I usually stay til the end no matter what, but after seeing that lameass attempt at a win last night... I had to leave early. And I left with about a minute left, not 3-4 minutes.

I'll be there Saturday, and I'll be there until the end... unless I see that same flat team that showed up last night.

i stayed with 3 of my buddies until they shut the scoreboards off and made us leave our seats. we talked with Burleson and Grundy after they were done with their formalities and stuff. Burleson said "We'll get em" and grundy told us that he wouldve done anything to be out there.

i sat through every home game of the panthers 1-15 season. EVERY game, and even made a few road trips to atlanta.

when you struggle, you gotta think it cant get worse....and then something like making it to the superbowl makes the shit you go through meaningful.

I finally saw a crowd that was AWESOME for our game. that was just unbelievable. There was still too much baby blue in the crowd. Everyone needs to learn to cheer like tommy burleson did last night. What was the refs name that didn't blow one whistle for us all game???? oh yeah and i was told in the first half by an RBC guy not to cuss and then 2 seconds later the whole crowd is chanting BULLSHIT BULLSHIT.....this same guy kicked me out at the end of the game when I am sitting behind woody durham and eric montross telling them how much they SUCK and tell the refs i said thanks. PS the people in the crowd in those vip first 2 rows suck. especially the guy who looks like braxton which leads me to believe he is his brother...he talked shit to me and my response to him saying im looking like an idiot i want to respond and say F U ....maybe you could have stood up once the whole game or clapped for your brothers FUCKING TEAM!

I always used to laugh at the students who would spend more time yelling at the alumni at the end of games then watching the game itself. I mean seriiously. These people are giving money to the university, and a lot of it, to get those prime seats. They can do whatever the hell they want.

I know if I was an older, rich alumnus I sure as fuck wouldn't stay to see us get blown the fuck out of the building..

** oh and how the fuck does the biggest state school in the biggest college basketball state in the country get outdrawn by a fucking hockey team. That shit is unacceptable. This falls on the students too who only fill the section for 5 games a year.. I mean fuck, it's free. At the very least go, get shitfaced at home or the parking lot, yell some shit, then leave..

I agree that it would be awesome if we could get that for every game, but man, I'm still worn out from that game, and seeing the team play like they dont give a shit really makes me not want to cheer as loud.

I'm still gonna go, and I'm still gonna cheer, because I'm not a douche. I just understand if other people dont feel like getting so pumped up for a team that wasnt trying. I feel like the fact that we've underachieved in football and basketball over the last 2 years has killed peoples desire to get crazy over our team. If it goes on long enough, people are going to get sick of it. Its not fun to have high expectations and see total shit.

I'm not saying that this season has been as bad as the past few for NC State athletics, but wednesday night was a prime example of why it sucks to be an NC State fan. (as in high expectations, shitty performance leading to fan let down)
