id rather trade in my mediocre old games than never play them again. shelf space was killing me.

[Edited on March 10, 2006 at 1:59 PM. Reason : i had depreciated them to 0 on the mental books. a gain was had!!!]

hahah you are the dumbest thing

if a game is that recent (ie a 360 game) ebay would be the best bet, unless you just dont want to hassle

whatever floats your boat

dude, there is no way you could make ebay your best bet for that.

show me some auctions that prove you could make more than $60 by selling something on ebay after ebay takes their cut, paypal takes their cut, shipping if you provide it, the time and hassle of setting all that up, etc. compare that with going over to eb and trading in 2 games you dont play anymore and picking up GRAW on the spot.

i said old games, not new. i agree id just assume go ebay unless they had a deal like the 30 bux each. the 30 might seem low but after shipping and ebay fees and the hastle its about breakeven.

^^

1st) what dumbass provides shipping
2nd) ebay takes like a whole dollar
3rd) if paypal taking a cut hurts that much (like 1 dollar) then get money orders
4th) you can click "sell one like this" that sets everything up for you, and your shipping info is all stored anyways
5) i made over $1200 selling games a couple of month ago, where i barely wouldve broken 7 if i woulda traded them in

^ yea but i was reffering to relatively new shit, ie 360 games. if i got on ebay and saw a game that sold for $60 online for $40, i'd bite

[Edited on March 10, 2006 at 4:26 PM. Reason : in the grand scheme, i'm pretty sure I can care less, however]

ebay/paypal together take about 6%

[Edited on March 10, 2006 at 4:27 PM. Reason : i got pd0 for 40, its a win win]

[Edited on March 10, 2006 at 4:28 PM. Reason : and doa4 for 45]

i gave in and bought it and boy am i glad that i did. i just played through the first 2 missions (after training). i love it, i think the controls are great for all the stuff that you can do and the gameplay is great. its actually a very very fun game. i think the tacticalness of it is better than just run and gun type gameplay in cod2...

can we get back on topic please?

[Edited on March 13, 2006 at 3:57 PM. Reason : stfu about the fucking trade ins]

anyhow, has anyone figured out if you can give your teammates individual commands (splitting them up) to go to different locations?

i have played thru the first 5 levels and all you can do is make all 3 go to a specific location

[Edited on March 13, 2006 at 4:01 PM. Reason : this is my only complaint because that is just fucking stupid]

[Edited on March 13, 2006 at 4:01 PM. Reason : unless im wrong and you can send them to different spots]

i didnt see anything about sending them individually, which would have been cool but dunno how they would have done that on the controller with all the buttons already being used up. youd have to make it so you go to the map screen to do it...

nobody, im not gonna buy the outfit, i didnt enjoy it. graw on the other hand...more fun than i thought it would be because i dont usually like tactical stuff but its fun. some stuff bothers me like not being able to get in water and walking on rocks and over stuff on some of the maps.

I just didn't get into this game at all. I'll sell a (very lightly) used copy for $50 if anyone wants it.

you are better off taking it back, saying something is wrong with it, and getting a new copy - take it right across the mall to babbages, tell them you bought it from them, and you lost your receipt, and that you want trade it in for another game, or just use it as a pre-order credit.

For those who still haven't decided whether or not this game is worth buying - I'll give a quick recap of what it is like in my opinion. Not a review.. just some details here or there that may help describe what it is like. Singleplayer rocks.. but I will focus on multiplayer since that is usually the selling point as it provides longevity to the game.

Multiplayer has a ton of options. I still have not played them all... but here as an example... if you want to play a deathmatch (elimination as they call it) style game with infinite respawns, you can. If you want to play elimination with a specific number of deaths per person you can set that up too. You can set up co-op modes with single deaths allowed, multiple deaths, etc, etc.. you can damn near configure everything you want if you want to... this includes the gun types allowed in the match, grenades on/off (in case you hate massive grenade launcher spammers).

I have stuck mostly to Team Elimination and Co-op multiplayer with various different settings underneath each. I also tend to play with friends or people I trust not to be total idiots because it makes the game a million times better to have people who don't play as if the game is Halo 2. The fact that the words strategy and tactics come up a lot with this game isn't a coincidence. Think of the damage model as being similar to something like Americas Army or Rainbow Six.. you don't want to fuck around. I'm sure players of previous Ghost Recon games will know what to expect in a lot of aspects already.. but those 2 titles just came to mind.

Now.. Outfit keeps coming up in discussion whenever GRAW is mentioned. Outfit is a totally different playstyle. The action is very fast pased WAAAAY more than a single bullet to kill someone (unless you are using the rifle and get a headshot). I admit I liked Outfit.. but I got bored with it quickly. I'm not saying GRAW is "super realistic" but... in Outfit when you can unload a full clip into someone.. set them on fire.. run them over with a tank.. and they still may not be dead.. you start to wonder. Whereas in GRAW if you stick your nose out into crossfire you are almost guaranteed to die.. it is actually kind of rare to get shot in GRAW and just take damage and not die it seems.

I also did find it easier to play Outfit without friends.. a little easier to just go in and have fun running around, spawning stuff, shooting everything, etc etc... whereas in GRAW your team is going to rely on you a lot more and if you don't communicate at all you probably won't make many friends.

Ok thats enough from me.. not really a review.. just my perspective after playing the game for a little over a week. I would recommend both GRAW and Outfit if the game type is for you - but with my AA playing background I can definitely say I am happy with my rediculously priced console video game.

Oh.. and if anyone wants to play - my name on Live is also Breezer95

I picked this up knowing it's not the type of game I can usually get into.

I'm gonna give it another week. It's hard as shit. I don't shy from hard games, normally, but I'm just not used to first person shit on a console.

just a diff type of skillset. ive never been particularly good at slow, tactical shooters. i dont find them to be very enjoyable either.

i want to try it, but i know i probably wont enjoy it. ill wait a couple more days for oblivion.

If you want faster actions just go multiplayer in Elimination/Sharpshooter rounds and kill/die as many times as you want
