if he had simply not bought the gift card, someone could have bought it for 1100$ and saved 409$ instead of 259$

I would wager that very few people value his services as a money-grubbing vulture at 259$, capitalism or not if I had any interest in this card I'd arrange to meet him anonymously, punch him in the teeth, and leave a check for 1100$ on his unconcious body, and maybe a handful of feces in his mouth

yeah its not like the proposition is risk and labor free. he had to sink $1100 of his money in it, money alot of (probably most of) the people here don't have. he has to risk the chance that the card isn't real, or that dude could use it after the sale. he had to invest the time in picking it up etc and dropping it off. its not like this is risk-free passive income or anything.

people just like to knock it because they don't have that kind of money to sink into something...its like real estate on a lower scale. buy something, resell it for a higher price. capitalism works.
