ARCA is actually too diluted with Nextel Cup offiliated teams and tech. If you get an decent backup car from a cup team, which is all ARCA cars are anyway, and a cup team to wrench it at the track you can run away with race. Along with the 5 other cup teams, plus Frank Kimmel, who dominate the series. 10th on back is garbage. 5/25/2006 3:03:25 AM |

^^^Amen.
^Yes, it will be interesting to see if and how many drivers will have the discipline tonight to continuously be able to maintain pit road speed tonight. However, it seemed like there were a couple of sway bar issues last night that could carry into this evening.
I also see Lutz has re-appeared in the NASCAR thread. If Jimmie wins again, we'll all be expecting a tirade from him. 5/28/2006 4:52:06 PM |

I had a great time last night! We were in turn 2 about 7 rows from the fence, but didn't get there until about lap 150. I missed Tony Stewart get put out dang it!! (I'm glad he's ok though.) I'm glad Kasey Kahne won last night though-a dear friend of mine is in ICU and will not be with us much longer, and he's a huge Kahne fan! (I was pulling for Jimmie all night as well as Kahne for that reason.) That was a good race though, I was surrounded by frickin Jr. fans; and when Jimmie passed him twice I was the only one within about 20 rows standing up cheering! 5/29/2006 11:57:04 AM |

Everyone has their own preference or better performance at certain tracks. His just happens to be Lowes. It's known to be one of the better tracks, and being one of the few 1.5 mile tracks; everyone likes to race there. But, he didn't win last night; so there's no more "set-up" to worry about. 5/29/2006 12:38:18 PM |

Well, think about it. They're gonna use their absolute best everything at the tracks or events with their sponsor's name on it. And the sponsors even push for them to win it because it would look even better. In a press conference the other day, Jimmie Johnson said he would try his best to win at his sponsor's track for them. I think it's really cool when they win those events. Like Michael Waltrip and the Aaron's 400, Jimmie and anything Lowes, Jr. and the Bud Shootout, or someone on the Coca-Cola team to win the Coca-Cola races. Just like when someone wins their hometown track. 5/29/2006 12:53:28 PM |

haha, I really wish all the gay talk about him would quit. It's like 6+ years old now, and I bet noone knows where that came from. He's a great driver, he's clean, he's fast, he's got a great team and crew, and he wins. He don't intentionally put people in walls and he don't try to put people in bad positions. If he can't pass right then, he'll give it another lap and just back off. I guess it could just be the team rivalry. 5/29/2006 1:11:15 PM |

his entire career, mostly because of the earnhardt fans felt threatened by a guy from calli that wasn't into hunting and fishing ( like earnhardt was)..
And Gordon is an ass to the fans, I have met almost all of the drivers, Gordon is mean. #20 is probably the meanest to people...

I've never heard tell of either of them being assholes recently or that they weren't fined for, they don't call people names after the race, ride around the track waving their middle finger at another driver, holding grudges throughout races in order to get even, or anything like some other drivers (particularly: Kasey Kahne, Dale Jr., Tony Stewart to name a few). And they'll sign anything you put in their faces. They love their fans. But like I said, maybe the angst is because they win...a lot.
^Stewart is by far the least appreciative to his fans. I agree with you there!
