Time Warner sucks, I wanted to put a bullet through the head of the TWO, count them, TWO service reps they had to send to our house on one day to fix a fucking non-working box. And you know what they did? They ghetto'd our shit up. They ran a temp line out the back door and into the main box outside. THE BOX IS STILL NOT WORKING...skips, and it is ridiculous. We're moving in like 2 weeks...and i'm telling you, we will not be doing TWC, we already had to cancel their internet because road runner is shit (Bellsouth Fast Access DSL is the way to go at 19.99 a month)..and I think we'll be getting some sort of sattelite system, so if anyone has any suggestions, that'd be great!

I pay for cable internet. I use an antenna for local TV, and the interwebs for anything on cable TV. Saves me about 500$/yr.

I might have to look into this. I started at about $70 a month six months ago for basic cable (no box....not HBO, etc) and roadrunner. My bill the other day was $98 and steadily rises about $5 per bill.

I'm about to call time warner and threaten to cancel. It's getting ridiculous. I have basic cable for christ sakes, and I'm paying $100 for it and a fucking router (1 computer hooked up... that's it)

All of you getting reamed by time warner are idiots.

I've promo hopped with them in every place I've ever lived. The most we've ever paid was HD+DVR+RR, were the first batch that got the HD DVR service, and STILL only paid like 115 a month.

Noen is right. All you gotta do it call and tell them either they lower your price or youll switch to another service.

I called them, told them hey either you lower my monthly bill (formerly ~95 bucks for basic cable and roadrunner) or im switching services. nothing personal i just cant afford 95 bucks. They dropped the bill 20 bucks, but with fees and crap my new monthly total is ~80 bucks.

Trust me, all you gotta do is call, be firm, and say if you dont lower my bill, ill leave.

DVR lets your record

the contract he gives you says the rate is locked in for 12 months

It's a new account. (Cable at my previous residence wasn't in my name).

I got the same deal as ablancas (see initial post) + the HD Suite ($6.95 - no discount).

Install is Saturday - everything tonight was booked. So far, so good.

Just so everyone knows, Ron is apparently still running the same deals.

Got the Digital cable, DVR, and Roadrunner for $85 a month, for 12 months.

No installation fees, no bullshit. Best person from TWC I have ever dealt with.

To get your bill lowered, call in and say that you're losing your job. A girl at my work did it and she got RR + digi cable for like 50/mo.
