Formula One did my 04, all around and no scratching on any of the windows... it was around 300 or so for all of the windows.. lifetime warranty.

BTW, We bought one of the first TSX's to hit NC... we have had ZERO problems out of it... It's just me and the wife, but the few times I've rode in the backseat it was fine... car could use some low end power, but after that it's a solid car. Like I said we are completely happy with it...

But does it pull traffic and weather conditions from XM satellites in real time?

^not too terribly useful to me around these parts for 1.

2. I don't really need ANOTHER subscription to something (already have enough bills)

3. the service so far sucks pretty bad (updates are inconsistent + data is spotty, at best)

I have heard good things about XM's weather service. The coverage is awesome because it comes from the same satellites that beam programming.

The traffic service is only in about 30 markets right now.

yeah but seriously, who cares about weather?

I can see the weather with my own 2 eyes, I don't really need to know how the weather is anywhere else, since it is subject to change...

the traffic data was the only one that caught my interest, and it's in such early stages that it's pretty useless, IMO. Subscribing to the service now is like paying them to be a beta tester...

but see, with an OEM setup you cannot upgrade it or toss it out the window and get a new one.

I have a '06 TSX Carbon Grey on Ebony.

I bought it in December and never looked back.

I didn't get the NAVI, but you won't really miss it. I have a handheld GPS so I couldn't justify the extra $2,000.

Anyway it is a very fun car and it has almost every option you can hope for in a under $30k car. It pairs with my Verizon Razor phone for handsfree calls and dialing.

XM is awesome (not sure about it pulling real time traffic through XM's traffic service to your NAVI screen)

Some of my favorite options

Heated seats, memory seats, power seats (both passenger and driver), moonroof, and hidden compartments.

Though I wish there was a way to scroll through XM channels on the steering wheel, (you can only scroll through your custom channels), floor mats are kind of cheap, and the front power outlet is underneath one of the compartments so if you plan to have a radar detector or other front mounted power device you always have to have it open.

Anyway hope your happy!

^as far as the power supply for a radar detector -------> Hard wire it!
It's easy as hell in this car, you can just tap power directly from the rear view mirror, wires completely hidden.

and ultra, as far as not being able to upgrade, that is the only downside I can see to this OEM system. I can still get content upgrades, at least. So I might not have the latest bells&whistles a few years down the road, but my info will be accurate + updtodate. All I really care about.

Plus, the Navi system adds a hell of a lot of resale value to the car. A lot of people want Navi (more + more true everyday) and don't know enough about or don't wanna mess with aftermarket GPS systems. So when it comes time to sell, it'll be a huge plus, I think.

i think they are made in japan and typically have much less problems than their u.s. counterparts.

control as in input addresses?

Cuz that's all I have to do on a GPS.

When he said first one of the first to hit NC, he meant just that. That has nothing to do with country of origin

ultra: yes, you can input addresses from the steering wheel, as well as search the database, etc etc.

Matter of fact, you don't have to ever touch the screen unless you feel like it.

the guy at my Acura dealership (everything I take from there is accompanied w/ a grain of salt) told me that they hardly ever have any problems with TSXes they've sold.

I originally went in there looking at TLs, but kinda liked teh TSX too. He told me that he gets TLs in all the time w/stupid problems like the power windows not working, or something coming loose on 'em.

So I think it is, in fact, true that made in Japan = higher quality.

Ok folks, so I got home my TSX black on black (no navi) and after driving for almost 20hrs in the past 24 hrs, you can imagine how much I love it My fave features are: Manual gear shifting in a 5 speed Auto car, heated front seats, XM radio / speaker system, leather interiors, iPod connector, memory settings and ofcourse, voice recognition for my v3 razr.

In addition to the standard package, I got a 7 year / 100,000 miles extended warranty and Simoniz teflon coating for paint protection. Thinking about getting some kind of tint as well. Btw, I love the pickup and transmission!

if you got the AT, you're missing out on the best part of the car

I'm just joking of course, but the manual transmission truly is my fav. part of driving the TSX.

Seriously, though, congratulations on your purchase. Let us know where you get your tint done, I'd be interested in seeing the results.

Formula One here in Raleigh did ours, and we're very happy with it. IIRC it was around the 300-350 mark for lifetime warranty, and was done in a few hours. I know it's more than some other shops, but in my opinion it was worth it.

BRAAAAAAAAAAAKING NEWS

Quote :
"Following rumors over the past week regarding its demise, the RSX is now confirmed to be out of Acura’s lineup for the 2007 model year. In a notice sent across the Acura dealer network, Honda’s Executive Vice President Dick Colliver wrote, “In our quest to provide you and our customers with the very best and most appropriate Acura models, we have decided to eliminate the RSX from the 2007 line-up, thus streamlining our product offering to better fit with Acura’s evolving and more upscale image.” While the news may come as a disappointment to many Acura fans, there is hope for a replacement in the form of TSX coupe, according to some insiders.
