I just signed a lease, so I am in that first building on the left when you come in, not a bad place

This sounds like a great source of free tacos. FRACOS. If you see a random white dude walking around out there next Sunday holla at me.

they are pretty good..we have a really nice dishwasher..we did have a little problem with it but it literally took 2 minutes for the guy to come, look at it, tell me what the problem was and fixed it. We have to bring your own microwaves and ours is ghetto as hell (its made in the 70's)

i've seen brandi's place and am tempted to look into it for the spring when my lease is up here.
do they do 6 month leases?
which side is the mexican/ car breaking area?
what are the dimensions for the 1br? i see 510 sq ft.
looks like rents are up to $525 for 1br and $695 for 2br.

they don't have a very detailed website.

^ they're 450 and 600 dollars right now, they are raising them to 615 for two bedroom. I don't know the exact dimensions but they're are pretty spacious.

Also go through ammons pittman company they rent most of the places out here.

I think they do 6 month leases, because it was an option on my renewal form.

The mexican side/break-in area is by 3530/3532
Also known as the ice cream truck side, the "play your mexican music as loud as you can starting at 10pm until whenever the last mexican passes out in the AM" side.

If you take the entrance that is NOT coming from avent ferry, its the first building on the left.

I'm glad that I moved out now, but another 5 days on the lease still...soon, very soon.

They said something about there being quite a waiting list for the places too.

I didn't think they did 6 month leases initially. Maybe for renewal, but I imagine that they want at least a year and prefer to end in december or july. Just so they're easier to fill.

The washer/driers sucked big time though.

my washer and dryer were fine. plus i lived on the good side. 3603 was one of the better locations in the complex.

my washer and dryer were fine and i wouldn't be surprised if the waitlist thing was complete bullshit that they tell people so that they feel pressured to make a decision. i know that there have been empty places in my bldg for months at a time.

Well, either way, done with ivy commons thankfully.

There are too many issues with that place.

I live on the "Mexican" break in your car side (3521) for one year. I have had 0 problems with anything related to Ivy Commons and I rarely hear the fiestas. I do hear the ice cream truck though. When I had some issues with my dishwasher and garbage disposal, it was promptly fixed. Oh and 0 bugs.

There are many spots open. I had one friend get the whole there is a waiting list deal (non college graduate, but made good money) then I had another friend who was given an apartment right away (doctoral student with small stipend).

Management is awesome once you live here, but the places can sometimes be in bad shape (we wrote about 50 things wrong when we moved in). In addition, there is no common things like overhead lights or fans.

But the location and price are awesome.
