Not too hard. My friends stopped playing THPS with me and said it wasn't fun anymore after I played it nonstop for several months and mastered it.

^Nuh uh, FF7 was it's own game!

I once got over 100 lives in Super Mario Bros. 2. I could rack up on some extra lives on the Bonus Stages; I knew how to time the Roulette just right so I'd at least end with a 2up for every coin collected.

Super Mario Bros. 2 was so underrated.

In mario 3, you can get progressively bigger bonuses by jumping from one creature to the next, start at 100 pts....then up to 4k, the a 1 up...if you find the right spots you can get all the lives you need, its like 1-3 i think

i wish i had a goddamn Wii so i could play this shit on demand

You could do that in Mario 1 also...the best place was Level 3-1...right at the end there were two turtles coming down the big stairs...you would let the first go and then bounce on the second one

once you got high enough you got symbols like a dagger and stuff for how many lives you had

thankyou much Nacho...I havent played in a while and when I look back on it, it doesn't seem too hard, but I just never could get it right for some reason

Get to level 70, level 3 glide, and stock up on ether. Parry, beat the crap out of him, and fly around while you're waiting for you MP gauge to refill. Lather rinse repeat.

I own three copies (SNES, PSX, GBA) of Final Fantasy IV and I've beaten and mastered the stuffing out of all of them. Maxed out my character's stats in FFX.

I also cussed out a kid at E.B. Games for asking me if FFVII were the best FF game ever made.

back in mid 90s, when donkey kong kountry first came out, blockbuster held these contest for free rentals for a year for the fastest time through a level

I wrecked motherfuckers in my division and the older one, got 4 games a month for a year

shit was sweet

haha i like how people call ff7 fans "bandwagoners"

why cant people just like what they like, you people are horrid faggots

my nerdy victory is beating ninja gaiden (nes). that's it, though i could get through most of the levels without dying. i think my hands still have muscle memory for that game years later

High score on the pinball machine at Sharkey's bar and billiards.
#3 score on Galaga at movie theatre (would have had #1 if my movie wasn't starting in 3 minutes)

^^^^Impressive, he's the one boss that stops me from beating all the Robot Masters with just the buster. Did you use any energy tanks? Because that'd be more hardcore.

To all the mega man people, try beating Sting Chameleon in MMX with the Mega Buster, or Volt Catfish from MMX3, theyre both hard but fun If you want a true challenge, get MM3 and try beating Shadow Man. I did that once, I have no idea how but I've never been able to do it since.

Mega Man back in the day was awesome. I remember fighting Charge Man when I was a kid without any energy tanks, and my friend turned off the TV sound so I could concentrate.

It took me over the course of three years, but I managed to get 101% in Donkey Kong 64 without the strategy guide. Another underrated game. Some of those minigames were the shit. I need to replay that game again at some point.

Any of you notice that the games you could wipe the floor with back in the day seem harder now? Haha, it makes me feel old. We've gone back and played a bunch of emulations on the xbox, and damn if I can't beat half the games I had beaten when I was younger

I accidently figured out how to add conifers and robots in SimEarth on SNES. Plopped on the bed, hit the controller with my hand, and the option to add conifers and robots came up.

Nope. It was ...B A START for one player and ...B A SELECT START for two. At least for Contra anyways.

I always said that's how you could tell who had friends growing up. If they quoted ...B A SELECT START, they had a friend to play with, but if they just said ...B A START, they played by themselves.
