^Ehh neither one is a powerhouse.

"Me either. And one of the main gripes about Herb was his scheduling. His were way tougher than Chuck's. I mean our main OOC opponent this year and last is Southern Miss"

I dont think you understand how ooc scheduling works in football. Our schedule wasnt that bad chucks first few years, and we had like the 5th toughest schedule in the country the year we played Miami, FSU, OSU, and VT....yet thenext year people are bitching about who we play. You cant schedule powerhouses ever year, and our problem is.....we beat TTU at TTU when they had on of the best offenses in the country (they sucked cause of no D) and we took OSU to tripple overtime and probably only lost because of that fucking qb sneak call when we got mazzowned.

that said, when you show the ability to beat teams like OSU, VT, Florida State, and the like, teams arent going to schedule you when you're NC State. Its a lose lose situation for the powerhouse. First off, their ratings wont be as good as if they schedule another powerhouse...if we beat them, they're fucked for a NC chance and its the end of the world, and if they win, its just ho hum. Its kinda like people saying we're stupid for making the trip to southern Miss this year cause its a death trap...people wont give a shit about SMU, but if we lose, it will be the end of the world.

In basketball, if you schedule 2 or 3 OOC powerhouses, you have a much better chance of winning anyway, and losing to really good teams doesnt mean as much in basketball especially that early in the season. Its much easier and much more reasonable to schedule tough OOC opponenets in basketball than it is in football.

"^ maybe he's nearly burned out from the long hours and dedication the NFL takes.

He's won a Super Bowl and he's got the most tenure by far of any head coach in the NFL.

Maybe in a few years he will be ready to take a less demanding job. You know so he could see his family, play some golf, have a social life, etc.

I don't think this is far-fetched at all, and I think Cowher could definitely build a top-notch program..."

AS MUCH AS I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS HAPPEN......DON'T COUNT ON IT....

THEY SHOULD HAVE GOT RICH RODRIGUEZ WHEN HE WAS AVAILABLE.......WVU IS LAUGHING THERE ASS OFF RIGHT NOW.....CHUCK COULD LEARN A THING OR 2 ABOUT DEVELOPING A PROGRAM FROM THEM...

or more realistically,

Mike O'Cain

^Say what you want, but O'Cain was a better in game coach than Chuck.

Mike recruited some talent, but there is no telling how good he could have done with Chuck's players.

Ill say this again, O'Cain's last 3 years at State: 6-5, 7-5, and 6-6. VERY similar to Chuck without Rivers. O'Cain was fired because he couldn't beat UNC, who back then was top tier in the ACC. Now Chuck can't beat them and they are bottom feeders.

BTTT.

This is getting downright ugly.

If Herb would have lost back to back games against Akron and USM someone would have his head.

The Titans keep losing 40-7 and Chow might want out of the pro's too...I am not saying he is coming or anything or that I wish Chuck would get fired, just saying that if Chuck does get fired and NCSU is looking, I think Chow would be a good prospect...

herb was making the ncaa tourney and not making us look like fools in the media.

chuck is going to win 3 games this year and has already made us look like fools.

BTTT AGAIN!

Herb was WINNING and finishing in the TOP FOUR in the ACC every year. Herb was also a respectable and very intelligent guy. Chuck is just a dumbass and makes us look bad with his stupid ass quotes.

oh i have an idea, let's put marcus stone in the game when we have good field position

oh i have an idea, on this our best scoring drive, lets get to the 30 and then call a timeout, it wont hurt our momentum at all i swear?

oh i have an idea, even though this drive has come from throwing the ball downfield, after the above mentioned timeout i think we should run the ball and throw a swing pass b/c we need the practice

How odd it is that the Herb bashers are the ones that want Chuck to stay. Herb was at least winning and keeping us in the top of the ACC.

People might actually succeed in running Chuck out of town. People are going over Lee Fowler's head right now.

This, however, is a good thing.

Shit is old. Herb was a decent man whom the media loved. Chuck is a joke and the media makes fun of his ass.
