^^Assuming she's telling the truth, she clearly was unable to identify her attackers from the beginning. To force her to sit down and pick people out is absurd.

None of this makes any sense.

How'd they know it was definitely a lacrosse player?
If none of the foreign DNA on her persons matched any of the lacrosse players, why didn't they investigate more to find other suspects?

Probably because it was a lacrosse player only party and there were no crashers.

Unfair, and unconstitutional. No who has taken even an elementary course in criminal procedure believes that identification will not be suppressed.

^Right. But, knowing that there was no DNA evidence to link the lacrosse players to her, they still made her pick out of lacrosse players...instead of investigating further to find other suspects.

Maybe they did investigate further. I don't know.

I do know that this case never should have been brought to trial.

it should never have been brought to indictment. I am a big advocate of grand juries taking their responsibilities a little more seriously than they do - there is great truth to the old lawyers' saying, that a grand jury would indict a ham sandwich if the prosecutor told it to. Grand juries are supposed to be something of a safety net to prevent frivolous prosecutions from going forward - and I think they should start acting like it.

^that whole seeing if the accuser/witness can pick out the suspect from a group of random people is just for TV

See in real life they have line ups just to make sure the prosucutor can take to court anyone that the accuser picks.
