Sam's or BJ's. They sell everything in bulk. But I'm not sure if it's safe to buy it at a place called BJ's.

Quote :
"Director Sofia Coppola has hit back at critics who mauled her new movie Marie-Antoinette as an attempt to Americanize French history. Coppola's film chronicles the life of the tragic French queen during the revolution in the 1790s. It has been criticized for its American pop video feel, but Coppola insists she wanted to accentuate the youthful slant to the story. She says, "I wasn't making a political movie about the French revolution, I was making a portrait of Marie-Antoinette and my opinions are in the film. We modernized certain things that were relate-able to me and a modern audience. The story is about teenagers in Versailles, so I wanted it to have that energy of youth and teenage feeling to it."

Wow, look what we've found here.

I was just about to make a thread about how Sofia Coppola nor this 'innocence lost' piece of assumable garbage is not gonna solve either one of your problems...

you know who i'm talking to...

So I was looking at a cast list for this. Wow. Molly Shannon?! No.
She was funny on SNL. But no.
I guess this film isn't supposed to be serious. I read the Wikipedia article on it, and it says there's 80's music by Bow Wow Wow and some New Wave - I can get that she's trying to put a Baz Luhrman Romeo + Juliette spin on it, but it just doesn't seem right. I'm excited for the movie nonetheless. Maybe it will beat my expectations.

I'm not sure what you mean by "it isn't supposed to be serious". I mean, it's not going to be some SNL shit. It is possible to cast comedic actors and actresses in serious roles.

Yeah but I just can't see Molly Shannon playing a French princess. But on the other hand, I don't think I've ever seen her play anything outside of SNL, so we'll see.

P.S. Shopgirl is terrible. Schwartzman is funny without having much to work with, but the tone is all over the place as a film and Martin as both a main character and a wholly different omniscient narrator was stupid.

all trolling aside, you and your boyfriend continuously post pretentious dickbag things when it comes the entertainment section. I knew this thread was made when I saw the film's trailer, at no surprise, by one of you.

And you can't offer one level of suggestion (and no one should take you seriously on your "strongpoints" shit) as to why this movie will be worth watching.

And I'm not trolling in saying that the emo faggots that go see this movie based on what they saw in the trailer are the "types" of people the majority should avoid at all costs.

Unrelated... but...

The Galaxy was voted #2 Independent Movie Theater by Metro Magazine.
(including all Ind. Theaters in the triangle all the way to the coast...)

Rialto #1.

All top 3 movie theaters voted are in Raleigh.

Raleigh Grande got 3rd with Honorable Mention.

That's exactly what I thought when I heard about this, and the music was its only redeeming value... So we shall see.

Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled that there are a number of independent theaters in town (don't forget the Colony), but the last time I went to the Rialto (for Grizzly Man) me and the person I was with were treated like complete shit (I guess we just didn't fit the mold of their typical clientele). So with that said, the only way I'll go there is if they run something that no other theater in the area gets.

Plus Galaxy has a TWW presence.

Didn't mean to sidetrack the thread. Yay Sofia Coppola.

`Rialto has history,
but the Galaxy has much better, frienldier service...

of course much more selection doesn't hurt.

I  Galaxy. I don't go there enough because I live all the way across town.

However, I'd go there every week if they countered the weekly Rocky Horror showing with a midnight show of Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (nudge nudge, say no more).

^^ i've always had really great, friendly service at both places.

galaxy has the advantage of more screens and a better selection, but if a movie's playing both places, i'll go to the rialto, mostly because its location rules.

Rialto AND Galaxy kick a bunch of ass.

Galaxy can't beat Rialto for location, ambiance, and history. Rialto can't beat Galaxy for selection and number of wolfwebbers on staff. I feel we both add a lot to the community. (The movie nerd community).

^ The original trailer had "Age of Consent". I can't remember what the foreign trailer had.
