Because Bush is supposedly a better husband than Clinton and Kerry, the public should allow him to make judgments about who can and cannot be married and divorced, you know, because he's so good at marriage! It makes perfect sense!

This is very similar to another one of his points...

Because some Muslims do not like homosexuals, we should not allow homosexuals to be married.

i have no clue how good a husband john kerry is to his current wife, or was to his previous wife/wives (i don't even know how many times he has been married)

nor do i know how good a husband george bush is to his wife

i figure since kerry divorced his rich wife and got half of her money, then remarried an even richer chick...you could possibly infer that he isnt the best husband

but still, i'm just shocked at this thread...in most other SB threads, everything is blame bush, bash bush, bush is an idiot, etc...i just dont know why people arent bashing bush in this thread

maybe because the consensus about bush in SB is that he is an idiot who caused unjust wars for greed, but hey at least he's not divorced or hasnt been accused many times of extramarital affairs

This thread is about the application of religious morals to public policy, most notably the issue of marriages/civil unions between homosexuals. Explain to me how Bush's fabuwonderflous marriage to Laura has any significance in the context of this topic. If you cannot do that, then come up with a topic where it would be significant, and I'll start a thread about that topic just for you.
