2gb is 150 bucks. Including shipping.

You can sell the drive and memory it comes with on ebay for ~100. So forgive me, its about a 175 dollar upgrade.

and again- that may be very true however A) those are not the only upgrades it has and B) that is if someone has your amazing know how and wants to purchase them seperate and install themselves versus having the factory do it. Anyone on this thread go online, pick a brand, customize to the specs i have listed and post back the cost.

BTW: NEON gtfo of my thread...you're annoying and unless you're interest in buying then there is no reason for you to post on this thread.

I keep posting because you keep giving people the runaround with your shit. An upgrade is an upgrade. Factory or not, you still have the same warranties on all of it, and if you dont want to do it yourself, find a friend to install the upgrades.

oh btw:

At Dell, right now.

E1705, 1.66 Core Duo (better battery life and just as fast as your 1.73 P-M)
2gigs of ram FACTORY INSTALLED
8xDVD+-RW
17" WXGA+ Display (1440x900)
GMA950 (better than yours)
IntelĀ® PRO 3945 and Dell 350 Bluetooth Internal Wireless Cards
XP Media Center 2005
100gb HDD
2 year, IN HOME service, WITH 2yr FULL ACCIDENTAL INSURANCE COVERAGE

$1372

If you dont want the retardo warranty and get your own memory upgrade, you pay

$975

Same shit as yours, except new. Use coupon code R99GSKKQQ23S4$

I did do my research.

The processor is at fast if not faster. The Core Duo is clock for clock 10-15% faster than the P-M, since your chip is less than 10% faster, do the math. Plus the Duo gets better battery life.

What are these "bells and whistles" it's missing? It's got every major feature yours does, its new, and got newere technology in it.

The cd/dvd drive has EXACTLY the same specs as yours, but nice try.

Hdd is slightly larger on yours, but the Dell has a SATA drive (no idea if yours is sata or pata).

so that notebook is $1372...$1455 with tax and is "comparable" to the one i am selling. If that is the case and i sell this for $1000 and the one i am selling has never been used then that would be a savings of $455. Correct? I still don't believe that you can work the 2 year accidental into the price you quoted. so tell ya what- despite the fact that it still is a hell of a deal to buy mine. If you post a link that states everything you posted in your thread and it is to the T verbadum... I will bow out of this thread and you can use it as a "hot laptop deals" thread.

BTW: if anyone still wants this- top bid of craigslist is $820 right now and for the record go on ebay and look up closed sales of Satellites with my exact specs to make sure i am selling this at a fair price.

thanks again for being a cockbag neon
