Revelation 16:8,9

“And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.”

Alan Colmes is a toolbag, and the only pundit on fox that doesnt advocate bombing San Francisco or whatever O'Reily said.

This devolved rather quickly.

And also Josh, the same types of foods will grow, even with a hotter climate. They'll simply grow elsewhere. It isn't that hard...

Josh, Mars is cold...not hot

But, global warming isn't this catastrophic "day after tomorrow" kinda thing. Temperatures rise a few degrees, which changes landscapes. So instead of corn in Iowa, it grows in Canada.

Oh no!

I don't know that?

Well then, tell me what will happen during this global warming crisis. Also, feel free to cite "The Day After Tomorrow" as scientific.

And how about we only talk about how it'll affect it over the next 150,000,000 year or so, rather than the "whole earth will be covered in water" fiasco that may happen in a billion or so.

Does that give you the right to be a moron?

Nope, but it represents the kind of irrational fears behind the Earth's mean temperature rising a couple degrees. Yes, it will have massive impacts. Yes, it might make parts of the earth unlivable. But it will also make other parts of the earth livable. That's the way a GLOBAL even works. So, the hardiness zones shift around a bit over the next 1000 years. Big fucking deal.

The sea-rise is a problem, but we're not talking about next week. And it isn't like we're hurting for space in the middle of the country.

The problem is that we have to live through the changes. Which is going to cause war and famine.

And I have to agree with bgmims here, while I do think we are massively contributing to global warming, there is no current PROOF that we are the cause. Climatologists will be quick to tell a warming trend happens over 1000, 5000, 10000 years, not 50. 50 years is a complete drop in the bucket and can be caused by completely natural conditions.

Yea, but isn't that also an argument for global warming.? I mean, isn't a rapid change in a few decades even more evidence of a problem because normally changes like that take thousands of years?

Only if you want it to.

Both war and famine are human induced events.

I'd be curious to know which ones. Really. I have a degree from MEAS at NC State.

There is of course some debate on causes- but many that dispute humans as the initial cause actually agree that anthropogenic inputs augment and enhance the severity of global warming by several orders of magnitude.

Pat Robertson:

"We really need to address the burning of fossils fuels. It's getting hotter and the ice caps are melting. And there's a buildup of carbon dioxide in the air ... the most convincing evidence I have seen on global warming in long time."

Agree or burn in hell.

No, I mean his comments are new and a reversal from his previous stance (omg flip-flop)

And it just so happens to coincide with a major heatwave.
