He basically claimed that anybody that dies in the West via a terrorist attack is an "innocent". The quotes presumably suggesting that they aren't innocent.

I pointed out that the vast majority of people everywhere just want to live day-to-day and don't really give a shit about what happens in the back rooms and ivory towers of government. They just want to be left the fuck alone.

So, my point was, why does living in the West suddenly nullify somebody's innocence on this matter? Why is the blood suddenly on their hands? Is the blood that terrorists shed on the hands of Joe al'Schmoe living in downtown Beirut?
