I don't know, you tell me.
And as for Captain N00bcake over there....
Quote : | "all i can derive from you is that you are a canes-homer, and not a hockey fan." |
Really? You expressed amazement at people caring about hockey here. I point you to a local board where there are plenty of hockey fans who can (and do) talk quite intelligently about teams other than the Hurricanes, and make a comment whose intent was to determine if you were a particular Devils fan that got banned from that board for being a two-faced lying shitbag.
How does that make me a "canes-homer"? For that matter, where did NASCAR come into the discussion at all before you decided to toss out the same lame NASCAR smack that far smarter people than you have tossed out eleventy billion times already?
Try to give an intelligent answer, please.
And as for Stein? I may not like the Rangers (despite the fact that my favorite player plays for them), but he's at least shown that he's capable of saying something intelligent--which you have yet to do.8/29/2006 9:45:47 PM |

ok, apparently roman's post had me confused that stein was a canes fan. now that i've reread i got it. my bad. since i missed that fact i'll pass on rubbing in our sweep of the blueshirts.
malik: so basically the root of this retarded snowballing argument is you assuming i'm some asshole from another forum, for saying i'm pumped that people care about hockey down here. awesome sleuthwork. my point was, again, that even though the canes have been here a little while, i'm surprised at the size of the fanbase given the climate and lack of hockey heritage. that's it. i'm done. i don't understand why that's so abrasive, and i don't understand what's so hard to grasp about the nascar analogy, as lame and partly derogatory it might have come out.
and for the record, i said "wow, i'm pumped that people care about the sport here." i wasn't amazed. i wasn't flabbergasted like a curler finding a club in hawai'i. i was pumped. how does that make me a shitbag? prob as baseless as you being a canes-homer. i based that on assuming stein was a canes fan (again, my bad) and him being surprised at the size of the fanbase too. that's it.
i'm done name-calling now that i know why this all started. we should be analyzing the preds signing dumont and the rangers talking to leetch.

I miss Leetch
Sure, he's old, but he's like a fixture and I always liked him more than Messier anyway. 8/31/2006 8:46:41 AM |

I'm not a HUGE hockey fan, but the Devils are my team. 8/31/2006 5:42:11 PM |

if the Devils were my team, I wouldn't be a huge hockey fan either, don't worry... you're not alone 8/31/2006 7:22:27 PM |

stein: the rangers def have changed significantly this past year, they finally have a core to work off of. the ones in the past were too old or too money hungry. they could prob use leetch on D if for nothing else than to mentor the young D-guys. plus ozolinsh blows. i don't know why the rangers would pass up on leetch, being that he's willing to come back after being ostracized to the leafs. 9/2/2006 10:47:34 AM |
