livefooty, the 2nd stream.. it freezes up every minute or so, but only for a second

Liverpool held on 3-2, but that was definitely the best half of Champions League I've watched this year... with the ManYoo-Celtic first half a close second.

agreed...the announcers always talk of how messi provides a "spark" when he comes in but he definately needs to be starting

Giuly ain't exactly chopped liver. It's to be seen whether Messi can play at his best level for 75+ minutes, and as it stands he can come in for anyone and immediately contribute. I think at this age there's something to be said for using him as a super sub, since he has years of starting ahead of him.

^^ Dempsey's nothing special. He'd barely cut it in the SPL.

Good times: Croatia 2, England 0.

^ I disagree. If Beasley can get a chance to play for a mid-table team like Man City, Dempsey could've easily got plenty of time on a team like Charlton.

^ First, Beasley got demoted to Man City. He was on a team that was in the Champions League.

Second, I'm a Red Bulls fan, and there is nothing from my time watching Dempsey with the Revs that has impressed me. His career consists of one goal in the World Cup against Ghana that was more thanks to the pass than his shot, and he thinks that he is a reincarnation of Vanilla Ice with his crappy rap music.

Demoted in your opinion... going from a mediocre Dutch league to the best league in the world is an upgrade in my opinion, regardless of the team you're on.

I'm not even sure how that relates to Dempsey anyways. The question was if he could cut it in the EPL, which I believe he can (for a lower-tier team like Charlton)

And his musical interests/abilities have nothing to do with the argument.

it's on espn2

and Eto'o someone screwed up his knee passing the ball with nobody around him. out 5 monthes, but now Messi gets to start as opposed to 10mins a game. so i don't think it will make a huge difference
