You should have to pass a test on ncsu football before the season even begins to make you eligble for student tickets. I guarantee you 75% of the people would fail the test even if it were easy questions about the current football team or recent players, i.e. Philip Rivers.

1. What number was philip rivers?

Gurantee you there are many people in that stadium sat night that couldn't answer that without looking up at his jersey.........

you can't remember the number of one of the greatest qbs to ever step foot on that field. it's not like it was decades ago. Hell his last year was 2003......and not too mention hes number 17 on the chargers now....

I'm not reading this whole damn thread because it's only recycle from the ones before it, and I've already read over 100 pages like it...

that said, there needs to be some things cleared up...

Quote :
"The crowds were MUCH MUCH MUCH better imo in every way possible. The people there wanted to watch a football game, not socialize. The student sections were always full, because you didnt have people going to campus or getting out of bed to get tickets who didnt fucking want them. Now people just apply for tickets and dont even fucking use them. That penalty system doesnt work. "

wrong...just...wrong

The new system has the student sections full, whereas before sections 110-115 were about 75% full and section 15 was 50% full. Now, we can show proof of each of those sections being almost full to capacity. Further, before there were huge gaps in section 7 & 8, very noticable even on television, from group/block seating taking assigned seats and not using them all...the new system at least allows for people to fill in

The thing that will probably happen is stamps on hands in sec 7 & 8...which will almost completely solve the problem...the thing that would completely solve it is wristbands/handstamps on sec 7 & 8 ticket holders as they pass through a specific gate so they don't have time to pull out a duplicate ticket

^^so i shouldn't be able to go to games? that's really a stupid idea.

let's have poll tests while we're at it. there are no downsides to that either.

this is a really retarded point you're trying to make here.

i don't remember a FORMER player's number, so i shouldn't be able to go to games. THAT MAKES PERFECT SENSE.

i wasnt here for the old system, but i do see how swpc gives out hard tickets with assigned seats for the football games and it works perfectly. we should do the same

no my point was that people who don't know shit about football and that just realized the week before the game that we even have a football game at home shouldn't have a right to go to the game. There are students that would nearly kill to get tickets but instead dumbass people who think its a social event take up all the tickets.

you cannot classify Rivers as just a "FORMER" player... that doesn't do him justice... and for anyone who doesn't know Rivers # specifically... I shake my head and walk away...

that doesn't, however, mean I think you shouldn't be allowed to go to games

okay let me rephrase this,

there are people who don't know anything about football, the game, or who don't care about it either and still go just b/c its the cool thing to do. or maybe they get a ticket and pass out in the parking lot or just don't go to the game.

Do you think they should be able to get tickets?

you gotta start somewhere... so yes, they should be allowed to go even if they have no football knowledge... but if they go and don't cheer and are more concerned about other things, then no, they shouldn't be allowed to go...

problem is, there is no way in hell to police that scenario

I think the point is taht Phillip Rivers has only been gone for 3 years, and he's the greatest fucking player...especially the greatest quarterback to play for NC State, and his number is retired with the likes of other greats that played here. You should know that Phillip Rivers wore number 17 if you're an NC State fan. Not knowing that just means you dont pay fucking attention. I would understand if he played in the 80's and you're a freshman, but 3 years ago??? come on.

when you walk in the stadium you should be given a bag. in that bag will be another bag. with another bag in it. one to urinate in, and one to throw-up in, and an extra just incase. section 7 and 8 should be completly closed off, and nobody should be allowed to sit in them. problems solved.

for the record this argument is stupid cause its never gonna happen. I just wanted to point out the stupidity of someone who claims to be an NC State fan that doesnt know what number Rivers wore 3 years ago...and is still wearing in the NFL right now.

like if you went to some of the less popular games, you would have a greater chance of getting tickets to the bigger games

If seating is still general admission by section, then overcrowding won't be solved by forcing students to pick up a real ticket at renoylds.

If you have 2 tickets in the same section, then you can just go up and down between the section bringing in however many friends you want.

Also if you have section 8, then you can just walk down the row to section 6.
