Yes, I thought we were calling it cheese.

"Gamecat: Exactly. I'm gaining the impression that a reasonably informed holistic understanding of the accurately-depicted powers and forces at play in the world around us (locally, globally, it doesn't matter) taking into account psychological, philo-logical, commercial, and sociological phenomenon are not worth getting cheese in most people's eyes for some reason."

"Gamecat: And yes, specializing is a metrick fuckton easier."

Okay, so why do you expect people to be interested in this metrick fuckton more difficult task when it isn't going to help them get their Escalade?

^ Because some people react to Escalades, large houses, diamond rings, and land the same way they react to the idea of Heaven.

Subjectively.

Most seem to confuse them.

Pretty good idea of mine, I think.

So, what currency should we use?

^^^No, I'm serious. I think there's some greater point you're trying to make that I'm not picking up on. All I'm getting is oblivious elitism from you.

Elitism would require a difference in status.

Help me understand.

See, I don't wanna explain myself if I'm totally wrong and end up looking like a dumbass for not getting it...but here goes...

You seem to think you're better than the majority of America for being a lover of knowledge who seeks truth, blah, blah...

When you were talking about gaining an understanding of how the entire world works with all those different factors, I got frustrated...because I've tried to make connections, tried to put it all together, but I can't do it...I get overwhelmed and start to think I'm not smart enough (I'm not smart enough) or not educated enough (I'm not educated enough). I've sought help from professors, but they're so biased and they never satisfy me--I don't trust them, and I'm not sure who I would trust. So I'm all alone, trying to read as many books (which I don't trust) as possible (experience beyond books would help too), but, in the end, I'm likely never gonna pick up a book about chemical engineering (I don't care how poppish they make it for me). So I lose, and you think you're better than me.

Interesting analysis. Allow me to be your Post Editor for just a second, because I think your Director appears to be leading you astray. Only a little bit, though. Tell me if you disagree and why:

Amazing how it takes a little courage to speak the truth sometimes, eh? Even when it's just the subjective elements that got you in trouble in the first place?

I'm not better than anyone in America.

You are smart enough.

You are educated enough.

You've lost nothing.

No one is better than you.
