thanks, and TallyHo is correct, its just a facade called Formstone. All the row houses were built in the late 1800s/early 1900s and are made of brick.....in the late 60s/early 70s, everyone got sick of their houses looking the same, so people started getting Formstone on top of the brick.....eventually everyone had Formstone (so they all looked the same again). Now, people are starting to get it removed to expose the brick again.

I like it right now....just something different, but we will probably get it removed before we try to sell the house.

You own the house and you owe the bank money. You are free to sell the house at any time or do whatever you want to it because it is your house and you own it.
