carolina fans think they won't win and stop showing up and tell everyone how they're really only basketball fans anyway.

we think we won't win (with good reason mind you), but we still show up and we still support the football team.

being a fan is about continuing to show up, it's not about telling yourself and other people that you'll win games that you don't actually think you will. if i don't think we're going to beat a team, i'll say i don't think we'll beat them, but there's no way i'm not going to show up, and there's no way i'm not going to cheer as loud as i can.

1. Someone wearing a yankees hat who believes that his team will win and loudly boasts of thier superiority to everyone, but has never been to a game and doesn't even watch them on TV except the playoffs.

2. An Oakland Raiders fan who has gone to every home game for the last 15 years, has the spiked shoulder pads, paints his face, has a handpainted black beat up car just for gameday, has a dog named Madden, etc. But when you ask him if he thinks the Raiders are going to the playoffs he laughs at you and says "not this year."

Which of those do you think is the better fan?

Dumb fucking analogy. We didn't lose just one game. We have had two very disappointing seasons and were starting off our season 1-2 with a weak win against a 1-AA opponent and two losses to mediocre-to-shitty teams. Just because we don't have sunshine blown up our asses like you doesn't make us bad fans...it makes us realistic. We have been hampered by poor QB play and bad coaching.

Lucky for us, we have been revitalized by a change in the quarterback position and INSPIRING play by legacy Daniel Evans. Hopefully we can keep this momentum and finish the season strong.

And a broken clock is right at least twice a day. If you were on Sports Talk last year and the year before, you probably would have been saying that we could win the conference those years too. So please STFU.
