I've got Windows Vista RC1 running as my primary OS on my 3 1/2 year old E-Machines with a 2.12 gHz AMD Athlon, a gig of ram, and a 120 gb hard disk drive. I actually found that it ran oddly better and faster on my older 64mb graphics card than it did on my 256 graphics.
As for dual booting, well...it works. I had Vista, XP Pro, XP Home, Ubuntu, Red Hat, SUSE, and Mandriva all on that one hard drive, and I was able to pick and choose which one I wanted to boot without any problems at all. I eventually wanted my hard drive space back and decided to stick with Vista. I like it and it works great for not being a final release version! 11/5/2006 11:43:03 AM |

I've been trying to get Media Center working with my RC2 install, shit just craps out every time.
"Media Center has stopped working... Windows encountered blah blah blah will notify you if there is a solution"
anyone else run into that? 11/5/2006 7:33:41 PM |
