Good for both teams maybe after the first 4 tossups.

Blue just gave the Mets 2 runs on a FOUL BALL....if a ball is on the line, chalk will fly.
The ball was clearly foul.
Why our guys can't hit Glavine's 80 MPH heater is mind-boggling. 10/17/2006 9:28:03 PM |

No way its far from over...Beltran, Delgado, Wright up next inning.
Why did it take so long for Kinney to make the majors? He has some excellent stuff.
I still can't get over Duncan pinch-hitting a homer off of Feliciano. 10/17/2006 10:50:53 PM |

Hahah yeah right. They even showed that pitch on the Fox tracker and it was right there on the line. Don't even get me started with that one strike Glavine got that didn't even show up on the tracker!10/18/2006 10:17:09 AM |

2 games in Shea still. If the offense wakes up this isn't even close to over. It's not like Carp was dominating last time out.
^^ actually they didn't show it. They put the foxtrack up there but never showed the end result. I think it was outside. No big deal though. It was fair for both teams just like in Game 1. The only thing I don't like is the inconsistent strike zone within the game. It makes it hard for both teams when the zone changes mid game. The first 6 innings it was tight then all of a sudden the last 3 it was huge. As I said, it was like this for BOTH teams.

Dude they did show it, I don't know where you were at but on my Fox HD they showed it in the next inning...it was right on the line of the strikezone. McCarver even said it was a great pitch and Foxtracker backs him on that one. 10/18/2006 12:48:32 PM |

^^yeah
I was bitching about that one call glavin got that was about WAY outside the zone that should have walked belliard (if I remember correctly...it was ball 4 called strike in any case)...then the cards pitchers were getting some of the same calls, and I even thought glavin got hosed on one that was closer than that in the same at bat. Terrible home plate umpire last night...both ways.

Actually I don't. He is a mediocre pitcher away from home and has been all year. He certainly is capable of pitching a gem but so is John Maine. So no, I don't know that he will deal.

Seriously unless they get really rusty, they will sweep the NL winner. 10/19/2006 2:52:05 PM |

No, they won't. The Tigers were as bad as anyone the last few weeks. They can be beat. They definitely won't sweep a team with offense in 4 straight. I'd say it goes 6 no matter who is in it.
Kenny Rogers will remember who he is again at some point.
