Why do people have a problem with this, but not with detaining American citizens indefinitely with no charges?

moron, as stated in other threads, U.S. Citizens cannot be detained indefinitely without charges. This has occurred recently and the behavior was both unconscionable and unconstitutional and the SCOTUS said so.

The SCOTUS has not yet proclaimed this unconstitutional, so we fight the battles in front of us.
