even though I hated liefeld, I did love deadpool.
speaking of, the art in his first mini-series by joe madureira (sp?) was really awesome.
what ever happened to joe? Didn't he flake out on his book?

Joe Madureira has always been one of my favorite artists, especially when he was doing Uncanny X-Men back in the day.
He's supposed to be in line to do Ultimates 3, I think.

You and me both. Cable and Deadpool have always been my 2 favorite X-characters. I was thrilled to see a book with both of them, and I've been reading it since it came out. Patrick Zircher's art has been excellent, but I don't know if he's still on the team. I almost wanted to cry when I saw last month's cover with Liefeld's artwork.
What used to really kick ass was Ian Churchill's work in the Cable and Deadpool books. The second Deadpool limited series was so well-drawn that I still love looking through it.11/15/2006 3:00:38 PM |

His first regular series was drawn by mike wieringo if I'm not mistaken, right? his art was really tight as well.
In fact, his superman art was pretty stellar as well.

He decided to work in Videogame character development. There's rumors of him returning for some Marvel stuff and he has said that he "would like to finish Battlechasers one day".11/16/2006 4:41:54 AM |

I honestly don't recall. But yes, the art in the first limited series was excellent. That Deadpool book is what pretty much drew me into X-Men for a long time.11/16/2006 8:12:05 AM |

^^yep, I do remember hearing that. He needs to stick with just drawing. I felt he lacked a bit as a writer. 11/16/2006 9:06:27 AM |

Time to call on the powers of TWW comic gods. Help me remember this comic will equal some of the most memorable comic book art I remember.
I think it was from Image Comics. About say 10 years ago? Anyways the art was really crisp looking and like all the pages were jampacked with details and shit. The main guy had huge guns and was nothing was drawn to proportion at all. The cover of the first comic sas him holding a gun and a cigarette in his mouth being bad ass and there was like Literally junk and bullets everywhere around him. The title is really simple I think, I just can't remember it.
When I say the art is crisp, I mean practically no shading or textures really.
I think in the comics there was a cybernetic Grandma with guns? 1/12/2007 8:51:10 PM |

Keith Giffen. Didn't know he worked on Lobo as well. And he's doing the I Luv Halloween series of Mangas that Looked really awesome.
the comic was Trencher
