Dole has done exactly nothing for the state of NC and, as has been beaten to death in this thread already, has only been another vote for every failed policy the Republicans have put out there.

Did anyone pay attention to Edwards' campaign for president? You know, before he was damaged for life by hitching himself to the grossly mishandled Kerry campaign? The "two Americas" platform? He was absolutely right. It was absolutely brilliant, and I absolutely believed in what he had in store for the country.

People want to knock Edwards for being politically ambitious. So what? He missed a lot of votes because he thought he could do more from the presidency than he could casting a vote as a member of an outnumbered and entirely bullied minority party.

People want to knock Edwards for being a trail lawyer who drove up insurance premiums. REPUBLICANS want to blame someone else for the price of insurance? I have never seen any Republican at any time do anything to keep health care affordable to the masses. Never. As a matter of fact, Republican health care ideas do even more to see to it that the people who need it most go without it.

People want to knock Edwards for being a losing VP candidate. Well, that's fair. Kerry's campaign was awful and I don't think that Edwards is going to be able to wash the smell of loser off of himself for a long time to come from having been a part of it.

So to recap: Dole sucks. Edwards could have been great.

Not saying Edwards was a good senator (he did little), but you're putting forth a piss poor argument against him here. You could have posted just as many positions and groups that Edwards worked with as you could for Dole. That said, I hope he doesn't get the nod in 2008.

Hell, I am from Fl(born there, lived there a month), so I could run for office and say I am from Fl!!! She only comes to NC for her mother who is old and in the mountains(has she died yet?) She hasnt done anything for NC...neither has Burr...he sucks also...maybe Hunt will run for Senator
