When people are wrong, I tell them they are wrong.

Examine bush's off the cuff remarks, they are barely passible as a coherent thought

i didnt say he says more intelligent shit when hes off the cuff

i'm saying he sounds better when he is off the cuff...cause he sounds more believeable- it is widely known that bush does not like reading speeches

yeah bush is better when he is off the cuff...for some reason you dont think so

bush himself doesnt even like reading speeches...so i'm guessing he'd rather talk off the cuff

it seems like just cause you like him more when he reads speeches must mean that he is "better" when he reads speeches

I don't think he is better off the cuff because he is illiterate when he is off the cuff. Furthermore, I never said anything about liking his style of reading or speaking. But the fact remains he sounds slightly more learned when reading a speech.

when speaking off the cuff, he does sometimes stutter and search for words. like i said, he's not polished in that arena (by POTUS standards, at least).

however, when he's delivering a scripted speech, i just have this mental image of Karl Rove holding up bullshit-laden cue cards in front of him, being a puppetmaster.

when he's informal and off the cuff, he comes across--to me--as more thoughtful and grounded in the real world.

i think the personality that the people that still love him(yes there still are those people) comes out when he is speaking off the cuff, which makes more sincere, which would make him better

i think he has no personality when he is reading someone elses words, and he stumbles or just pretty much reads aloud

[Edited on November 8, 2006 at 6:59 PM. Reason : ^i agree with the realworld comment]

What you see as this, I see as less educated

yes, he definitely comes across as more sincere when in an informal, unscripted setting.

that may be true, but in front of cameras and such, he shouldn't be going unscripted.
