Dental, how in depth do you want to get?

I enjoyed Thomas Sowell's "Basic Economics" but beware that what you're really getting there is economic thought on social issues, rather than economics.

and to be entertained with economic thought, but not economic theory, check out Freakonomics. It really is quite a good book.
