because im sure psxextreme has proprietary information about how many are going to where...and i mean between eb games and gamestop they have ab 8000 stores...with each store getting at least 8 and up to 16, they probably had around 75000 themselves

^psxextreme is the only website i've seen that has posted that BB is getting 200k units. BB itself wont' say how many they are getting, not after the 360 allocation lists went around. and for the 360 BB only got around 41,000 units for launch. BB has tried to be careful with the PS3, so bascially saying they are getting 200k at launch is BS on the part of psxextreme. Everybody on line who has called or talked to best buy employees has stated that their BB is getting around 40 systems or so.

not like i care, i'm getting a Wii. maybe in april when some good games are actually out for the PS3 i'll pick one up. I see a lot of PS3s going unsold on ebay or for far less than people think.

Which Best Buy/stores are you camping out at?

Also, supposedly, Best Buy will list how many PS3s they have in today's (Sunday's) ad. I think it's something like no less than 26 in the stores in this area (20 premium systems and 6 basic systems).

i got a 360 on launch and kept it.

the people in line will generate a list of who is there, if anyone is in their car or away when there is a random check...you will lose your spot.

this happened in burlington and some kid started crying and said "so i can't wait in my car when i was here before some of these people" and everyone was like "nope" and best buy will not take ANY accountability for how the line setup works, but there will be cops that morning and if there is a list and one person breaks it...you will be moved to the back.

if you have 9 guys with you, you'll have to be out there the entire time with 10 people there at all times. trust me, it will get ugly if one person tries to let ONE person cut in line, much less 10. good luck with that though...just be sure that you have police support when you get jumped by angry mobs.

if i get bored thursday night i may go to burlington and stay the night and get a ps3...it wasn't crowded at all for a 360 until that morning around 4am when parents came and thought it was "whoever is in the door first gets it" but we had passes in hand and they just had to stand in the store and watch...it was funny.

I believe 'launch' usually refers to either the end of the holiday season (Jan1) or end of the quarter (Feb for sony).

Gamestop also announced this morning that they will not be able to fill preorders on launch day, hope you people actually get yours.
