bttt this too...he is HORRIBLE!
am i the only one tired of not only the playcalling but this whole "west coast" offense crap he's trying to call?
its just terrible, and yeah we dont have the best players in the world, but our offensive philosophy and scheme is just horrible.

Even if we somehow did get the best players in the world, they wouldn't stay that way long 11/18/2006 5:11:10 PM |

Quote : | "Mark Trestman: While football coaching careers are vagabond in nature anyway, Trestman's is more gypsy-like than most. He is looking to make his 10th stop in 18 NFL seasons, mainly because the head coaches keep getting replaced.
But Trestman's record is impressive. As offensive coordinator in Oakland three seasons ago, he helped guide the Raiders to the Super Bowl and quarterback Rich Gannon to the league MVP. The Raiders led the NFL in total offense and passing offense during the 2002 season based on a ball-control, short passing game.
Trestman, 49, first became an offensive coordinator in his early 30s in Cleveland in 1989, when the Browns lost to Denver in the AFC championship game. He was offensive coordinator in San Francisco under George Seifert in 1995-96, when quarterback Steve Young and wide receiver Jerry Rice were in the prime of their careers.
Trestman was quarterbacks coach for the Lions in 1997 under Bobby Ross, offensive coordinator of lowly Arizona from 1998-2000 and went from Oakland to Miami last year as quarterbacks coach.
Of the three, Trestman would appear to be a happy medium between McCarthy, who would want most of the control, and Tollner, who might tend to rely more on Mariucci's input. " |

Another piece of evidence that helps prove my theory that Mark Trestman is just an alias of Paul Cousins. 11/18/2006 6:10:05 PM |

Apparently Trestman, as well as any other coach on the team, has failed to develop a passing play for 2nd down. It's always run on 2nd down, usually for < 1 yard. 11/19/2006 12:36:40 AM |

y'all always blame the wrong fucking people. let's think about something... how many changes have we made with coordinators and assistants since chuck has been here? yet, we still have the same problems. now, who has been the one, main constant. that's right! CHUCK AMATO.
y'all are foolish if you think trestman isn't a top notch offensive coordinator. you're out of your fucking minds. 11/19/2006 7:44:23 AM |

exactly, and Im not so sure that chuck is the great recruiter people give him credit for. Ever since we lost doc and the other great recruiters he brought with him, recruiting hasnt been the same.
Chuck would make a great AD or Director of the Booster club though. 11/19/2006 8:33:56 AM |
