if they really cared about selling a lot, they would have had someone make a few designs, and let the student body vote for them online. picking a popular design/color set would be sure to sell the most shirts that would actually benefit us.

^^ I am sure if you have a good idea for a t-shirt the kids in SG and WSI would love to hear about it.

WSI has sold shirts before, some have been popular and some haven't- but it's for a good cause so don't just flat out boycott it, that means you would be hurting students that need the money...or are you inept?

^^I have purchased better WSI shirts before. Printing the shirts for this bad of an idea is simply being a poor steward of student resources. Insisting people buy something repulsive "for a good cause" is bad economics, bad business, and fiscally imprudent. This hurts the credibility of the initiative and threatens to turn away people who would be happy to make a donation.

Simply put, spending money to make money requires a better sense of the pulse of your target audience than this effort demonstrates. The WSI is a good cause, but more thought needs to be put into these campaigns and the management of these funds in the future. Because I am optomistic that it will be, I encourage people to avoid these shirts like the plague, but support the WSI with donations to the extent you feel comfortable.
