^^^^ very true

i would pay more attention to other conferences in college football if there was a playoff system. I basically know that State will not play any of those teams so i could care less about them. in the nfl every team is a threat, and most every game has some bearings on the playoffs

I think most of us have GONE to wolfpack games, etc. If many of you had invested the time as I have to see the Panthers play you wouldn't give up a SuperBowl for anything. Even though it seems like we have bad fans, which we do and etc. you have to remember we are only 12 years old. I believe our kids generation along with us still being passionate in our older years will make some DIE hard and i mean DIEHARD panther fans.the same way you see other NFl teams or us the wolfpack. All i know is id like to have a NC and a superbowl....i've got a stanley cup and one world series when i was really little. Now from 2006-2040. Hopefully I will still be alive, that in that time I will see a super bowl, a national championship, another stanley cup and other good things. I'm giving my teams 34 years. ha

i dont get up for college football as much for numerous reasons listed. If its not state playing or some huge rivalry game I dont really care that much. With the nfl, i am really pissed that the panthers are doing poorly and it crushes me but I am still very focused on whats going on in the whole leage because of the quality of the whole league.

my father bought psls to the panthers in the inagural season. i went to every game in clemson (living in charlotte at the time) and went to nearly every game when they moved to charlotte (my mom all of the sudden claimed to be a football fan). this was until 2002 when i moved to pennsylvania.

i could give a shit if the panthers win a superbowl. i'd trade a panthers superbowl for a state winning season. i trade the panthers existing for a state NC.

Obviously if you attend a school and invest your time, money and resources in to a University. you'll be more passionate. This question is only valid if you ask all the Wal -Mart UNC fans

I am a huge Bengals fan but I can distinguish Bengals games from other NFL games. I am very passionate about Bengals games, but I also enjoy the amazing pro-level play in other games. The NFL as a league always holds my interest and has made pro football my favorite sport.

^I agree with everything just I'm a Cowboys fan. I think fantasy football has helped me be even more passionate about the NFL. I tend to focus on everything now.

I'm also VERY passionate about the NBA. It's just sad that I can't talk to a lot of people here about it because the sports talk stations and most people here in NC HATE the NBA. I know that the market for the sport isn't here, but geez, give the NBA some sort of chance.

I am passionate about football in general.

I am passionate about football now that I have found a team. Before I would pull for players vs. teams (Favre, Holt, hell even all the way back to Jim Harbough) But now that Philip is the starting Qb and I have watched the Chargers play every televised game this season, I have become a bolts fan in general. If Philip were to leave next year I would pull for him, but I believe I would remain loyal to the Chargers. With LT, Merriman, Jammer, Kaeding, Scifres I just like the team...

I am no where near as passionate about the NFL as I am about college football. When it comes to the Florida Gators football I can't even describe my passion for them. Im going to the law school next year, but I've always bled blue and orange.

On the other hande can barely sit through a pro game. When the panthers loose it hurts but I dont really take it to heart like when the Gators do. But when it comes to college football in general I can watch nearly all of it, even the MAC games on a random tuesday night. And no I would not trade a NC for the Gators for a Panthers Superbowl....

i live in SD so i feel justified with my bandwagon choice

however, as a (local, ticket-buying) charger fan, i welcome the other bandwaggoners -- san diego is a city of transplants so the support for the local teams is not as strong as most other cities, we'll take all the support we can get (even if we only get it when we're winning, but maybe a few of these guys will stick around during the losing too)

go bolts

because #1 you are a dumbass ... #2 the QB is the leader of the team, even if they do have a MVP running back, Philip is the leader of that offense and they have the best record in the NFL of 32 teams... #3 if the Chargers win the superbowl and Philip is the leader of the team and you are a dumbass, then that will give more recognition to NC State .. I can't emphasize #1 enough.

[Edited on December 16, 2006 at 3:05 AM. Reason : #3 and look at #1 again too]

or i just don't care at all about pro sports. and just to clarify this clearly hypothetical situation, this is implied that otherwise we'd have a losing record.

i went to, i'd guess, 90% of the panthers games for 5 years, still don't care.

sorry to the guy above BUT LT is the #1 reason SD is winning. period. no if ands or buts about it and you know this. 31 touchdowns...more than half the nfl teams have.

no one's putting the chargers' success on priv. that doesn't mean that priv's not playing well.

but the nfl is boring b/c there's no passion, discuss.

[Edited on December 18, 2006 at 10:34 PM. Reason : typo, priv IS playing well]

No, not really. I've been to my fair share of pro games (such as the panthers) and i could care less about pro sports. I would trade an infinite number of Panther Super Bowl wins for one N.C. State National Championship. That's just my opinion because i am emotionally invested, 100% in N.C. State sports.
