If you ever sit in on Pretrial hearings, it seems like half of the people are there for bad checks. Really, you need to report him to the police with all of the information that TWW has so kindly gathered. Once he's arrested, his other previous landlords can come forward to demand redress. By NC law, you are entitled to three times the damages (aka, physical damage to the place, mental damage to the other roommates, and unpaid rent or other bills) that he caused you. Don't let people like him get away with this bullshit when some of us struggle very hard to pay our rent and bills on time and be good tenants.

worthless checks division is the best. They'll have bad checks on their record, which aint good, and you'll get your money back plus some extra. I elected to use it once over someone else pulling some shenanegans on me. had the arrest warrant effected a little sooner as well when she didnt show up at her court date.
