That's somewhat true, but there are still a lot of racist people in fairly powerful positions.

And to do something like this just strengthens their racism when they see the CBC trying to end racism and promote African-Americans (can't say minorities because obviously they don't support Azn rights or Latinos either if they only allow blacks as members) and then turn around and be racist themselves. In some ways this is almost like the women trying to get into all male country clubs and gyms, but then having places like Curves that are for women only. Double standard in this country much?
