yeah i heard about the church thing. It has to be the most rediculous thing i have heard in awhile. What a bunch of money-grubbing bastards. If it was pay-per view i would understand the problems. But anyone with a fucking antenna can pick up a broadcast of the superbowl. 2/3/2007 12:50:06 PM |

^ I don't think anyone was following soccer here in 1987. Earliest you can go on a decent scale is 1994.
Back on topic, the church thing with the NFL, how could the NFL enforce this is someone went ahead and did it? They could do a civil suit but what jury would find the aforementioned church or any other group guilty of such a self-serving law? I think it's stupid and I think a jury would agree.

Well when it does take over America I still don't see my interest level changing in any way. I wouldn't mind being left out.2/5/2007 12:30:58 PM |

no, soccer isn't gearing to take over america...and thats a good thing. they suck at it. and paying becham $1million/week ($250mil. contract over 5 years) isn't going to change things. No one wanted him in europe anyway. So long as america keeps its nose out of the greatest sport and keeps busy with american football...things will be fine and dandy. 2/5/2007 1:29:30 PM |
