Exactly my friend! You have to weigh in all the situations and possible outcomes not just unrealistic pessimism. That's far too easy. If you factor in the situation and circumstances along with anomolies, you get pretty good results. And that's what the e-man does. I don't factor in biasedness. Not at all.

It has nothing to do with the false assumptions of me being an overzealous die-hard pack fan. The problem with me lies when peoples scream "we have a snowballs chance of survival" when they provide no grounds for such claims.

It's really a great idea to base this years potential on last years performance.

Um, have you ever played basketball? Finding what the other team does is simple. Stopping it is a whole different story.

Roy used to and still does run (although changed somewhat) the secondary break. Everyone knew the play because Kansas ran it EVERYTIME down the court unless they had a fast break. Nobody stopped it with any kind of consistancy even though they knew what was coming. Stopping talented players from running an effective "simple" play is much more than figuring out the play. So you can throw your little drawing and thoughts out the window.

And these "lanes" you are talking about. Just say we need to stop them from driving. A lane is just a fancy word for opening in the defense.

Last, nobody defends the mid-range jumper well. Why?, because almost all guards set up around the 3-point line and if they do get a "mid-range jumper" its usually because they beat their man or they are wide open.

I figure, this is how we can deny Tyler the bball and get adequate rebounds. Terrific...You go and celebrate every win over UNC in basketball to the effect of it "changing your life." it just reiterates their dominance over us, anyone objectively looking at this can understand this idea. I would like to witness perpetual wins over UNC in basketball where we were either supposed to win, or that it was not that big of a surprise, but if you would rather lose to them 4 out of 5 times, with the lone win being life altering, have at it, you're a punchline to many an opponents (in this case, UNC) joke. I'm saying transitive property doesn't work because if it did we would have had 0 chance @ vt. Anything can happen and unc isn't as good as you act like they are. they have an all american a potentiall all acc in wright and then 10 other players that are hit or miss. this team is nowhere near 05. it just looks that way because the acc is weaker now. back then you had duke wake and gt all with great teams better than the entire acc this year.

05 team was complete with a perfect starting 5. this team just has a strong interior and insane depth. if you don't get back on d or have a bunch of turnovers you will get blown out agaisnt this team. if you get back on d and limit the turnovers you will have a really good chance. i know its easier said than done but its not rocket science.

If you know anything about NC State vs UNC atheltics, nothing is ever even close to a sure thing. Anything can happen when these two teams match up, its like watching fucking high school sports.

herb has nothing to do with this game. this is just two basketball teams one who is better than the other. this is as good as the first meeting between the two programs. sure there is rivalry hype but this isnt two teams that know each other. we arent running a princeton offense and only 2 of our player have played against unc.

You're right, Sidney Lowe plays a style that favors Carolina. His best chance is to try and make it a half-court battle. Maybe different players for State, but UNC returns all but David Noel.

And NCSUMEB is the most realistic/logical person I've seen on this board. While I am a Carolina fan, I didn't expect to beat NC State in '02 at any point...called being logical.
