all i got to say is, be a man and get over it on your own. don't go for the rebound option because thats not fair to the new girl. Heal your woulds alone and then move onto someone else if you still want.

Why not just joing a club sport or something that will make you stay active around that time?

Dating someone new is a bad idea too, so is random lay (beware the STD).

Just get rid of everything that reminds you of her, take her out of your cell phone, and start having fun doing things you can do when you're single.

When my last relationship ended (2.5 years just about) I ended up casually dating people for the better part of 6 months.

I moved to a different city about a week after we ended, so a lot of my time was spent getting used to Charlotte (moved from Raleigh), meeting new people and getting settled into my routine.

I went on dates with a number of people over the summer and into the fall, and told each and every one of them (when it came up in conversation) that i was looking for a nice companion, fun stuff to do and no commitment. Until I met the guy that I am now dating, I was perfectly content with casually dating people (note: I wasn't sleeping with them, not my style) until I met someone who I knew suited my needs and fulfilled most of my wants.

I'd say start going to the gym - it helps with frustration (imho). Start reconnecting with friends, and keep yourself busy.

If you don't find yourself naturally wanting to date people, don't yet. Just allow things to happen and allow yourself to deal with this in your own way. You'll one day want to ask a girl on a date, or hop into bed with one - and when that happens, go for it (but wrap it up plz).

Best of luck to you!

Where were these threads when I was looking two weeks ago. Once all the unknowns are out on the table then you can begin to heal. I was dumped, out of the blue and I think thats why it still hurts so bad. This week WILL be better though, because I have been able to look back and see that she hasnt really cared about me for a while now and I dont want to be in a relationship with someone like that. Its tough but I hope this is the week for improvement.

im sorry it took you 2 weeks(after being dumped out of the blue) to realize she has been fucken the Gimpster. I dont think it would of taken me two weeks to figure out she didnt really care for me for awhile(based on her dumping you out of the blue)

The best way to get over a girl is to get over another one.

That other thread is a great read. At first I was dumbfounded, but then I found out she was talkin to another guy. Our problems were primarily religious ones and he offers a way that she thinks will make her happy. Now I am realizing that if it was that easy for her to cut and run then I am better off without her(Although were were engaged for a year). I Wish I had seen the longer thread before, cause it describes my shit to a T.
