ratchet i got the other day you can twist the handle and it'll rotate the socket.. pretty cool. has def saved me some time when i was pulling the AC off the tahoe, could only move the ratchet one click at a time so just twisted the handle and shit was out in no time... and a lot quicker than getting out the air wrenches. maybe this is common to everybody else but i hadn't seen one before

I initially thought I would never pay a hundred bucks for a flashlight, but this is one of the best tool investments I have made. Streamlight Stinger. Rechargeable, brighter than you think is possible, unbreakable and a lifetime warranty.

its worth it if you ever have screws fall off the end of the screwdriver, i ended up needing it and using it about 10 minutes after buying it so the tool satisfaction level is high on that one. 7/17/2007 12:45:22 AM |

its a cordless screwdriver but the chuck is like a quick change attachment like you can put on a drill.... i keep the 1/4 in drive attachment installed in mine and use it as a 1/4 ratchet all the time. its warrantied, so i am trying to see if it will break.

Williams Low Buck Tubing Notcher
Bought this to use on my back-half project - can shear 4 notches in about a minutes time. It also worked perfectly for the little stubby (1 3/4" long) gussets we put between my frame rails

That notcher is the single best time saving tool there is for tube work as far as im concerned, FUCK A HOLE SAW NOTCHER. (To add to what he said, i could notch both ends of a tube in less than 20 seconds with the thing if i tried to hurry and was sure not to drop the tube with each cut.) The one areas it doesnt shine though is on severely angled notches, a holesaw would be nice for those, but we are quick enough with a port-a-band.
We are about to scrap a bunch of weight, and decided we should spend the proceeds on tools for the shared too collection. Any suggestions from yall as far as modestly priced metal working tools??
I was thinking about a small horizontal metal cutting bandsaw.

they make specail screwdrivers for that, unless you are good at precision grinding, if its tight, then its damn near impossible to get out without a good one 10/21/2009 1:10:16 PM |
