No they haven't. Mexico's top pay is about $15/day. I know this from one of the VW plants I have been to down there.
Assembling a car is not as difficult at the guy writing this article makes it out to be. I work for an automotive supplier and we don't pay $52,000-60,000 for an assembly line worker. It's ridiculous.5/10/2009 9:30:56 AM |

the article tries to argue that the benefits they are set to receive shouldn't be considered their cost, and he doesn't even to mention that $28/hour is a retarded sum of money to pay a trained monkey on an assembly line. What they fail to mention is that the benefits these workers are set to receive will likely be at a much higher cost than $70/hour by the time they're done retiring and collecting on them.5/10/2009 2:51:27 PM |
