actually there is : if that were my dog, and I found out you didn't even have it scanned at a vet's office, before you sold it to some shmuck on TWW, or God forbid, released it back into the woods!?! Some dogs are microchipped, so taking it to a vet to be scanned would be a good idea...

Oh yea you're really some kind of a saint for rescuing him and finding him a home only if it makes you money. If you're willing to take care of him for one week why can't you just take him to the SPCA if it doesn't work out for you instead of throwing him out again?
