I just saw where our protest from the orioles game was denied citing umps have to do whatever they can to make the game right. WTF? This opens a pandora's box now where you are going to see retroactive calls in baseball. They should have let us replay the game from the 3rd inning on.

Now I see that Westbrook is going on the DL

Westbrook on the DL isnt necessarily a bad thing since we'll be calling up Fausto Carmona back up from the minors, I just hope the team sending him down to the minors last week didnt shake his confidence too much cause he was pitching really well for us

4 game set starts in baltimore tomorrow hopefully we can take 3 of 4 to get the road trip started on a good foot. but a huge mid week match up with the halos which would be a great series to win.

Mastny really blew it last night.

First, the throwing on error on him to first which went from having only 1 man on 2nd base with 2 out to runners on the corners with 1 out. Then he proceeds to walk the bases loaded so anything in the outfield wins the game. Piss poor game management by our bullpen last night. Hopefully we can rebound today and win this series before we head out west.

I really cant be mad tho cause we are kickin some ass right now

4) grady fuckin sizemore! I thought there was no way he was going to get to that ball in shallow right center yesterday but damn he made a fabulous catch. Legit AL MVP candidate.

Carmona is back today. It should be interesting to see how he does considering he was finding his stride before they sent him down to buffalo to make room for cliff. First pitch in 45 min.

We finally got back on track yesterday it seems. Pronk and grady haven't had the hottest bats as of late and think it would do them a lot of good to get off this road trip and get back to the jake. Roadies like this can be a grind for even the best players. If we can get home from this with a split, a win, and a loss that isnt bad at all. This 7 game homestand comin up with the twins and reds should be just what some of our guys need to get these bats goin again.

Lee vs Gaudin this afternoon should be fun

It feels good to be at home! We set a season high in hits and runs scored tonight. Grady busted through his slump with a huge game so hopefully he can keep it goin through this homestand.

so after borowski blew a couple saves somebody in my fantasy league dropped him...i picked him up...do they indians have any pitchers that might compete with him for the Closer spot or does he have to fuck up a lot more before they go to sombody else? he's already got like 12 saves this year

His job is safe. Our bullpen has no one else to go to and we would be fucked should he end up on the dl. Adam Miller could be pulled up at any time to pitch the 8th inning but I doubt he would ever be thrown into the closer spot unless borowski really started fucking up.

Carmona looks like a completely different pitcher in the rotation than he did last year coming in for middle relief. I remember when he conceded 2 walkoffs to papi last year in consecutive days and I was thinking he was fucked mentally forever . The guy proceeded to lose his next 12 decisions but to his credit he rebounded and has turned into a decent pitcher.

there was almost an uprising when Carmona was sent down to make room for Cliff Lee a month or so ago...I dont think there is any way that Carmona would get sent down after the way he's been pitching lately

Considering he's the same guy who got murdered in the bullpen last year, I think that is a huge boost for the Tribe. If they can keep their pitching going like this then they are a shoo-in for the playoffs despite being in the best division in baseball...

Sowers just sealed his fate last night. He gave up 7 ER in 6 innings to pretty much play himself down to the minors when Jake gets back. Personally, I thought he got pretty lucky last season in the first place. So far this season in 41.2 innings pitched he has 12 strikeouts, 15 walks, 33 ER, 0 wins, and a whip of 1.63. They guy needs to work it out in buffalo much like carmona did last year. He could come back and dominate but he just doesnt have it going right now.
