Carlisle is one of the best IMO.

Carlisle certainly isn't an elite coach, but we could do much worse.
He's the kind of guy that would make us competitive and get us into the playoffs next season. 4/26/2007 3:55:05 PM |

with the right draft pick and free agent signing Bickerstaff could get us into the playoffs next year
Carlisle in Detroit was kind of like Dungy in Tampa...I think he's a very good coach 4/26/2007 3:57:13 PM |

i would be fine with Silas getting the job
the bugs were a consistent middle-seeded playoff team for years under him, and with one or two more pickups that pan out, i think he could get this team over the hump, especially in the east 4/30/2007 6:26:11 PM |

^ I wouldn't mind seeing Silas getting the job either. He was unjustly fired the first year of LBJ's reign in Cleveland and in Charlotte/New Orleans. I think he deserves another shot. I wouldn't mind seeing Rick Adelman on that Bobcats team either. 5/1/2007 10:07:01 AM |

The crazy thing about that picture is that 3-4 weeks ago my friend told me that his girlfriend's sorority sister at Villanova fucked Michael Jordan in Cabo during Spring Break.
And then she called her boyfriend (on the bball team at Nova) crying that night and told him what happened.
I didnt really believe it at the time, but then sure enough that picture surfaces on the internet a few weeks ago making me curious again.
I've yet to confirm whether she's the actual girl in the picture though.

So who is in the coaching mix now? Don't forget, Bickerstafff is out as head coach.
Who all are we interviewing/looking at/hoping to get? I know Paul Silas, Mario Elie (interviewed today). Larry Brown is a long shot, Sam Mitchell probably is also...who else are we going to look at? 5/1/2007 10:52:00 PM |

Ok, so no Coach news worth talking about
but here is a good article about Corey Brewer, I knew he was good, but they are saying his stock is rising Fast!
http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/draft2007/insider/columns/story?columnist=ford_chad&page=DraftWatch-NoahBrewer&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab1pos2
Quote : | "Brewer looks great.
He's stroking the ball from 18 feet and showing range out to the NBA 3-point line with good accuracy. He has great form on his jump shot with a high, quick release. He gets great lift on his shot and shows the ability to shoot off the dribble, too.
He's most impressive, however, getting up and down the basketball floor. He has excellent speed for his size and is very explosive getting off the floor.
..............
The play is fast and furious. Webster was the No. 5 pick in the draft two years ago. He would've been just a sophomore in college this year. He has an NBA body and two years of pro experience. But he still doesn't have the game of Brewer, who clearly outshines everyone else on the floor. His smooth game, from pull-up jumpers to alley-oop dunks, shows just how destructive he could be in an open-court game.
.............
From my conversations with NBA GMs and from what I saw with my own eyes on Monday, I think Brewer could go as high as the No. 3 or No. 4 pick in the draft. How often do you find a 6-foot-9 guy with the wingspan of a 7-footer who can play lock-down defense at the 2 or the 3, shoot the basketball and slash to the basket? Brewer has a chance to be a totally unique player at his position." |

Brewer looked great in both of the Final 4 games...also we have more of a need for a wing player than we do a power forward assuming we keep May

from Peter Vescey...
"Mavericks assistant Sam Vincent has emerged as the lopsided choice to become the Bobcats' new head coach, a Charlotte hall monitor reveals. Of the six candidates initially interviewed by Michael Jordan and Bernie Bickerstaff - including Mike Fratello, Stan Van Gundy, Paul Silas and Herb Williams - the persuasive extrovert was the only one invited back. "Unless a fascinating nominee suddenly materializes, it's Sam's job to lose. Michael was very impressed by his comprehensive coaching approach." 5/21/2007 1:20:51 PM |

that won't happen ... nobody in their right mind would give up a top 2 in this year's draft. But maybe, just maybe, we get Seattle's no. 2 this year for the following:
Our two no. 1's this year Our no. 1 next year Adam Morrison (God-like in Washington st)
We'd then take Durant, ensuring us a future HOFer, energized fan base, and playoff worthy lineup. A man can dream ...

oh yeah
Quote : | "Changes Loom In Seattle
For the Sonics, the arrival of Kevin Durant most likely means the departure of Rashard Lewis, who can opt out of his contract to become an unrestricted free agent. There was already talk that the Sonics couldn't afford to keep him and he wanted out anyway.
The trick will be convincing Lewis that a sign-and-trade is the best way to leave town (allowing the Sonics to get something in return). It could work because only one team, Charlotte, is really in a position to give Lewis great money without some sort of sign-and-trade.
As much as Durant will be a marketable star in Seattle, he doesn't solve all of the Sonics' problems. They still need a center, it appears, and they have a power forward rotation that doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. Besides Lewis, Ray Allen is really the only keeper on the team.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the next Sonics general manager blow this whole team up and start rebuilding around Durant, from the bottom up. " |

ugh, i really dont want Rashard Lewis.
Another Small forward? We need a SG instead.
He's just not that good. Inconsistent, injury prone, not a big time player IMO
Id rather keep Gerald Wallace and if we sign and trade for anything other than a trade exception i will be fucking livid.
Dont fuck this offseason up Jordan. I know you're just dying too.
