Interesting statistic on the chances you'll get HIV:

Estimated per act risk for acquisition of HIV-1
by exposure route.
Estimated infections per 10,000 exposures to an infected source.

Receptive penile-vaginal intercourse* 10
Insertive anal intercourse* 6.5
Insertive penile-vaginal intercourse* 5
Receptive fellatio* 1
Insertive fellatio* 0.5

Thats assuming the person does have HIV. Your chances of getting it are much lower given that not everyone has HIV.

Isn't that crazy? I thought it would be MUCH higher. Girls have twice the risk.

^check the website, it does, and the risk is a lot higher, hence the stereotype

That does strike me as odd.

out of 10,000 people who are HIV positive, you would contract it 5 times out of those 10,000 with normal intercourse as a male??
