Tombstone is a great fucking movie. It is definitely my favorite Western. I definitely don't really enjoy Westerns, but I feel like Tombstone is probably one of the most accessible ones out there. My friends had to push this movie for so fucking long before I finally buckled and watched it with them, but I was very glad I did. I really enjoyed it. 1/14/2010 6:56:00 AM |

i don't see how people, especially males, can hate westerns. They are just so much fun. Maybe not all boys growing up wanted to be a cowboy at some point in their life, i know i did. I could watch westerns and war movies all day long. 1/14/2010 7:59:44 AM |

Tombstone is really the only western you should watch.
There are others that are good if you're actually interested in the genre. But Tombstone pretty much transcends the genre into the 'muse see' realm. 1/14/2010 10:12:45 AM |

I'm really into westerns, but I have never thought Tombstone was even a good movie. I know so many people love this film, but it just didn't speak to me. 1/14/2010 12:47:29 PM |

I wasn't ever that big into Clint Eastwood either. Fucking love him now. Last year I'd sit there on days off and watch the Eastwood marathons on AMC. I'm now going through them on Netflix. Love Good Bad and the Ugly.
Hang em High is one of the other good Eastwood westerns I enjoyed (having a hell of a time recalling the names of the other ones right now)

It's that time of year, I don't know why but during the holidays I watch westerns. I'm planning to show my GF Lonesome Dove for the first time. 12/9/2011 10:59:53 AM |

I'm surprised by all the hate on Unforgiven in this thread. Unforgiven is a great movie when you view it as a retort to all of the spaghetti westerns that Eastwood starred in. There aren't any clear cut good guys and bad guys, there was no honor code to shootouts, and the quicker shooter usually lost out to the well placed shots of the slower shooter. It was gritty and realistic, unlike the white hat storylines of its predecessors. 12/28/2013 8:37:24 PM |
