^I said nothing like this has happened, although I did not say it couldn't happen. It could, but because they're scoring in 3's and 7's and not nearly as often, it'd be a lot more difficult. 7/24/2007 5:26:58 PM |

i'm just saying how many nfl players have been arrested in the last 6 months? dozens and dozens...how many nba players? i cant think of any...but the NBA is the thug league, not the NFL
and i love both leagues so overall i could care less about the perceptions cause i'm going to watch them anyway...and i sure as hell hope Donaghy is the only one involved in this horrible scandal...but i also dont think its out of the realm that a football game could be fixed...and i think common sense would say over the years games have been fixed
i mean you want Team A to win...but Team B breaks a miracle run at the buzzer! Team B wins! Oh wait, theres a flag down...holding...this one is coming back
sports in general are big money...we've apparently seen NBA games fixed...we've seen college games fixed...i'm sure the NFL isnt squeaky clean

There are 490 nba players. There are 1721 nfl players. HUGE difference. Stephen Jackson and Ron Artest have both been arrested recently; thats without thinking hard. And when have players from the NFL and its fans gotten into a physical brawl like weve seen in the NBA. 7/24/2007 5:56:27 PM |

LOL, at this speculation.
It's very humorous to me that when Adrian Mcpherson was caught fixing the FSU-NCSU football game that was only "speculation"
but now that one referee has been caught reportedly shaving points in a few games that clearly the Phoenix Suns were screwed out of a championship.
Let's wait and see if that game specifically was fixed. I'm certainly not saying it was NOT fixed but if you know anything about gambling, low prestige games are the ones likely to be fixed rather than high prestige games. 7/24/2007 6:01:34 PM |

Lee Corso, standing in on Mike & Mike This Morning, said the way a ref could affect a game is the umpire standing behind the offensive line and after a play says "Hol-ding!".7/24/2007 8:11:14 PM |
